Google Fiber will be coming to Westminster, adding an internet service provider option for residents. City Council heard a presentation on Feb. 6 on the service.

Westminster will be the 20th metro area with the service, as there are 19 di erent metro areas in the country with Google Fiber. Lakewood also signed a similar agreement. Google Fiber uses public rightsof-way to connect people to the network, called ‘microtrenching.’ Construction of the network is set to begin late this year.
