Council recognizes students for tra cstopping art

e Westminster City Council recognized 53 students at the icty’s May 8 city council meeting for their artwork that will be for their tra c box wrap project. All the students are from Westminster Public Schools and their work resulted in 15 di erent designs. e ages of students ranged from grades one through 12 and the various designs will be on tra c boxes throughout the city.

Jimena Avila Alvarado, an 8th grader at Westminster’s Josephine Hodgkins Leadership Academy, created this blue sky full of kites. It will decorate a city tra c box.

Westminster High School 10th grader Emily Luna Jimenez created this mural featuring flowers and hummingbirds to be displayed on a tra c box in the city.
