Malley Center lunch nourishes body, soul VOA provides food for meals offered Monday through Friday

said. “I saw a note asking for volunteers and just decided to become a volunteer at lunch. I love it. I love being around people. It is not a lot of work but it is a lot of fun, particularly when you see the people smiling as they eat the meals I am helping serve.” On Dec. 2, the volunteers dished up broccoli, fish, a roll and an apple. There was water, milk and orange juice to drink plus diners could have coffee for 25 cents. Monday through Friday, about three dozen people gather at the Malley Senior

Arts agency could take control of venue Hampden Hall scheduling might shift from city management By Tom Munds tmunds@coloradocommunitymedia.com Englewood Arts, an organization dedicated to promoting cultural arts, has proposed that it be allowed to manage the schedule at Hampden Hall, the performance venue in the Englewood Civic Center. The proposal, if approved by the city council at the Dec. 17 meeting, would shift management of Hampden Hall from the city to Englewood Arts. The city would retain first priority for use of Hampden Hall; Englewood Arts would have second priority; and the Museum Outdoor Arts would have third priority. The city and MOA would not be charged to use the facility. In addition to booking performances at Hampden Hall, Englewood Arts also supports Strings Attached, the program
