The Castle Rock Season of the Star events wrapped up Jan. 2 with WinterFest, a celebration of the new year and the winter season. The event featured ice carving, live entertainment by Lola Rising, a petting zoo and rides. The celebration was also the location of the finish lines for both the Cold War Classic Cyclocross Race hosted by raceCO.org and the Resolution Run 5K hosted by StrideMob. All the Season of the Star events were first-time events put on by the town in an effort to bring the community together in the downtown area throughout the season.
