crowd of young children embraced the Frankenstein process at Smoky Hill Library, using crafts and ingredients to create their own little creatures. At the library’s Fun with Franken-slime event Oct. 3, kids listened to a children’s book read aloud about how the story of Frankenstein’s monster came to be. Then they made a sticky substance in bowls at a crafts table and used it to create “slime monsters.” “I love the energy and really listening to the stories the kids tell,” said Nicole Dumville, a library events specialist. Smoky Hill Library sits at 5430 S. Biscay Circle in Centennial along East Smoky Hill Road. For more events, arapahoelibraries.bibliocommons.com/events.
