Snow Buddies is a City of Arvada Neighborhood Services program, which started three years ago, to help provide snow removal services to senior citizens and members of the community with health issues. “We have a lot of people in our community that need help with snow shoveling,” said Kevin Nichols, neighborhood engagement coordinator for Arvada. Over the past three years, the program has gained 68 volunteers, including at least five that shovel multiple properties. “It’s amazing — we live in such a great community,” said Tami Rice, who works with the city’s neighborhood services.
