The Class of 2017

Congratulations to the Colorado Academy Class of 2017! This class of 104 students includes playwrights, athletes, inventors, social justice advocates, artists, singers, coders, mathematicians, scientists, and more. Each student has his or her individual talents and interests, but together, this is a remarkable collection of people.

Each of these students is devoted to causes and communities beyond CA, whether helping to build a school in Haiti or building homes for people here in Denver, whether teaching and tutoring students or trying to solve global warming.

This class of graduates will depart for destinations from British Columbia to Scotland and from New York to Los Angeles. Says one CA student, “You’ll be a part of lots of things and places throughout your life, but only a few places will always be a part of you.”

Thank you for all you have brought to CA. Congratulations, Class of 2017!

Crissie Allan

At CA since: Fifth Grade Powerful Experience: The most powerful experience of my Upper School career was my opportunity to participate in two of the French trips. During these home-stays, I was able to experience a different culture first hand and apply my French skills outside of the classroom.

Community Impact Project: For my service project, I chose to do something a bit different. I chose to help, not people, but history. I accomplished this by helping to restore a Korean War-era M38A1 jeep.

Favorite CA Tradition: My favorite CA tradition would have to be the buddy system with the Kindergartners. I enjoy this because it gives the Kindergartners a role model, and also gives the seniors an opportunity to interact with the smaller kids, something that would otherwise not happen.

Immediate Plans: King’s College London, London, UK to study Physics.
