Youth concerns:

Housing and environment

HOUSING availability, accessibility and lack of support for young people were some of the major concerns raised during a recent visit by Commissioner for Children and Young People Jacqueline McGowan-Jones. Ms McGowan-Jones visited Collie last Friday to hear concerns impacting the lives of young people.

Safety, the environment and the lack of mental health services were also among major concerns raised. The commissioner also heard from local initiatives and programs making a positive difference, including the Child and Parent Centre – Collie Valley and Collie’s Clontarf Academy.
