This tour of Italy takes travelers from the country’s bustling capital city of Rome to the picturesque and scenic Amalfi Coast. Begin your trip exploring the “Eternal City” as you enjoy a panoramic tour featuring iconic sites like the Piazza Venezia, Roman Forum and Arch of Constantine. Continue on to enjoy an in-depth visit of the spectacular Colosseum. Venture further to the Amalfi Coast, stopping at the Benedictine monastery of Montecassino which looms over southern Rome. Make your way to the town of Amalfi to explore this charming town before continuing to Minori where you’ll sample local limoncello. Discover one of Italy’s most surprising products during a tour of a local buffalo milk mozzarella factory. Visit Paestum, where a local guide will escort you through some of the best-preserved Greek temples outside of Greece. Enjoy a day at leisure to take in the beautiful scenery of the Amalfi Coast. Or, perhaps you will choose to purchase an optional boat trip (weather permitting) to the wonderful Mediterranean island of Capri. End your journey in Rome where you’ll experience the excavated ruins of Pompeii and stop at a local winery at the foot of Mount Vesuvius.
