GEARED UP UMTC braces for new normal learning
Pursuing towards quality of learning management system despite the challenges of pandemic, University of Mindanao Tagum College strengthened the measures to address the concerns encountered upon the kick off of new normal mode of learning. “We conduct retooling for the faculty and plan to do webinars to students. We used blended delivery of instruction in the online classes by having synchronous and asynchronous classes. We also have in-charge for monitoring of students who opted modular learning,” Dean of College Dr. Gina Fe Israel stressed. The Dean of College also encour-

Villacensio said in an interview during the enrollment period when asked about their estimated target of this year’s enrollees. As it stands, the total enrollment number for the semester failed to meet the school’s expectations, falling short of 1,804 of the its intended student population. Among the college departments that took a huge dip in enrollment numbers are the Department of Accounting Education (DAE) with a 13% total drop,

Other Departments in the Mabini Campus that suffered a decrease in enrollee numbers are the Criminology Department, the Education Department, Human Resource Management Department, Liberal Arts, and the Graduate Studies Departments, with the Main Campus averaging 13% decrease in students enrolled.
