Digital Art Technology

Technology is constantly growing and changing our ways of living. It makes life easier at times, and more interesting too. When one would think of art in the past, usually computers and technology did not come to mind. Now because of modern technology, the digital age is uncovering vast ways to create amazing works of art through computer tools and software. Art is now digitally created and can appear unbelievable to the modern eye.

Digital art technology is in some ways, a form of art that can be constructed on a computer based template and still portray an artistГ•s rendition but in a mechanical manner. Г’As early as 1912, the futurists planned moving sculptures driven by machine, in which the...show more content... Photoshop was a great new technology and contributor for digital art at that time.

Г’Today, computers are found in almost every area of art, though with varying degrees of success, acceptance, and originality.Г“ (57, Wolf) Classical art is obviously the most widespread acceptable form of art. Acceptable meaning known; People around the world could tell you theyГ•ve heard of Michelangelo or Picasso. Classical art and digital art have certain similarities, but far more differences. Both forms of art begin with the artistГ•s view of an idea or concept. They both have creative attributes and qualities that are controlled by the artist and viewed by an audience. Evidently, there is different media used in each form. Where classical artist may use a paintbrush and a canvas to create a painting, a digital artist would use software like Photoshop though a computer to create an image. However now, artists can even imitate media like watercolor, charcoal, markers, and even oil pastels with certain software digitally.

There are two kinds of computer based art that uses the computer as a tool for creating the work. The two kinds are computer–assisted art and computer–created art. Г’In computer–assisted art, an application like a paintbox or music program is used in creation of a work. Computer–created art begins with an algorithm written by the artist, which when run, produces a work, usually with some element of randomness involved so that

American Illustration

After have dinner with a group of illustrator friends, posters on street inadvertently grabs my attention. Walking on a familiar path to home, I see posters are secretly glued on coner of wall, showed on large screen at side of street, passing around like booklet... if every poster stands for an event, then it is surprising to notice such many events are silently on going around me.

My major is animation, so my first though on illustration is that: posters are still frame picture with better detail crafted. Most illustration art and design on these posters are high quliaty in my point of view, yet many of them are having a familiar feeling. I point at an illustration on a flyer, it is a image of a cute girl drawn inmanga style, and I asked my firend Lin Na how she thinks about this illustration in her profession point of view. Lin has worked as illustrator more than ten years and have lectured in our local university serveral times. "I am not a pro." Said by Lin with a wry smile:" For this kind of commercial illustration, clients belives in other popular illustration works more than desinger's opinion. Government cultivated protectionism is a direct way to immediate interest distribution in market. As we decide to watch a movie tonight, I suddently think that The"Domestic Film Protection Month" is a good example of this kind. This unwritten rule starts in 2006, every year around July and August (yes, right now), china mainland cinema will limit the number imported film down to one or two, cut clips out of them or delay others release time. 9 years past till 2017, I could not say this protection have no help with Chinese film industry, it acutally works. As an audience, I am happy to see a small local studio I love, finally able to release their first animated film. At the same time, Lin is disappoint to miss a chance to see Alien on big

Surrealism

Surrealism was one of the most influential artistic movements of the 20th Century. AndrГ© Breton consolidated Surrealism as a movement in the early 1920s, trying to achieve the "total liberation of the mind and of all that resembles it[1]" through innovative and varied ideas. Surrealism deeply influenced the world in the era between the two world wars and played a big role in the diffusion and adoption of psychology worldwide. Surrealism faded after World War II, but its revolutionary genius has influenced every artistic movement ever since.

It is hard to define and give shape to Surrealism. Surrealism and abstract art have similar origins, "but they diverge on their interpretation of what those origins mean to the...show more content...

Nonetheless, one cannot truly comprehend Surrealism without delving further into the Surrealist Movement itself.

AndrГ© Breton ran the Surrealist Movement with impressive discipline and rigidity, making an interesting contrast between what the Surrealists preached and the management style of its leader. An interesting story, for example, tells how Salvador DalГ, one of the most prominent members of the Surrealist movement, attended a New York costume party dressed up as Charles Lindbergh's son, who had been recently kidnapped and murdered. New York's society did not take the statement well and eventually made DalГapologize for his behavior. Breton, however, almost dismissed him from Movement because he claimed that "no one should excuse himself for a Surrealist act[6]." This anecdote demonstrates the seriousness of Breton and his Movement towards its final objective: revolution and the slashing of society's conventions in the interest of a subconscious reality.

At the beginning, the Surrealist Movement had political ties to the Communist party and was determined to make a revolution. With time, however, the group dropped its direct ties to communism and concentrated in spreading their own doctrine. The Surrealist Movement

What Is Self Worth Essay

Your self worth is more important than you think, many people don't realize that it is an important asset to your everyday life. Self–worth, self–esteem, and self–respect are the three things that many people struggle with. No matter how ugly people can be you have to keep in mind you are as worthy as anybody else. People criticize one another without realizing the damage that is done to their piers. I will be showing you some steps that have helped me gain respect for myself. Step 1 is to never compare yourself to anybody else and to love yourself . Step 2 is to surround yourself with supportive people. Step 3 is to always talk positive about yourself. Step 1 is to never compare yourself to anybody else to love yourself . Its natural for us to compare ourselves to others, but it doesn't improve our status, make us a better person, or secure our happiness. In many cases its does the opposite by making us feel bad about ourselves. For example, i used to compare myself to other people who were way prettier and thinner than me. Comparing myself to them wasn't helping me at all it was just bringing myself esteem down, building more of my insecurities up, just making me be so negative. But i noticed by doing that it wasn't helping me feel any better about myself it was just doing the opposite. What helped me stop was that i started to learn how to love my self just the way I am, i realized that every human has their own insecurities. Loving yourself is very important, do not

So, let 's suppose that you have done some brainstorming to develop your thesis. What else should you keep in mind as you begin to create paragraphs? Every paragraph in a paper should be

Unified–All of the sentences in a single paragraph should be related to a single controlling idea (often expressed in the topic sentence of the paragraph).

Clearly related to the thesis–The sentences should all refer to the central idea, or thesis, of the paper (Rosen and Behrens 119). Coherent–The sentences should be arranged in a logical manner and should follow a definite plan for development (Rosen and Behrens 119). Well–developed–Every idea discussed in the paragraph should be adequately explained and supported through evidence and details...show more content...

Step 4. Explain the example(s)

The next movement in paragraph development is an explanation of each example and its relevance to the topic sentence and rationale that were stated at the beginning of the paragraph. This explanation shows readers why you chose to use this/or these particular examples as evidence to support the major claim, or focus, in your paragraph.

Continue the pattern of giving examples and explaining them until all points/examples that the writer deems necessary have been made and explained. NONE of your examples should be left unexplained. You might be able to explain the relationship between the example and the topic sentence in the same sentence which introduced the example. More often, however, you will need to explain that relationship in a separate sentence. Look at these explanations for the two examples in the slave spirituals paragraph:

Model explanation for example A– When slaves sang this song, they could have been speaking of their departure from this life and their arrival in heaven; however, they also could have been describing their plans to leave the South and run, not to Jesus, but to the North.

Model explanation for example B–[The relationship between example B and the main idea of the paragraph 's controlling idea is clear enough

The family structure is made up of individuals living together in intimate groups with the purpose of caring and supporting each other. Rules and boundaries, spoken and unspoken, are developed by the family members. Family rules and boundaries change and shift over time in order to evolve and grow as a family unit. Some changes are subtle, but some events force major change within the family system. This paper applies the concepts of systems theory to the family system in the movie Sweet Home Alabama. Reese Witherspoon (Melanie Smooter) and Josh Lucas (Jake Perry) star in this heart–warming film telling a story of a young woman who flees from Alabama to reinvent herself in New York City as a high fashion designer. She leaves behind...show more content...

The second family consists of a mother–son system. The mother is a wealthy, prominent Judge in New York City and her son is the cities most eligible bachelor running for political office. The second system's boundaries are ridged; other systems have a difficult time being accepted by and into the family. Family information is guarded and the family system is difficult to penetrate. Open Systems In the examples given above, two family systems exist. Both are considered to be open systems, however, one is more open than the other. Each system has a boundary which is open to some varying extent. This openness makes it possible for other systems and information to pass into and out of its system. Input from within a family or from other systems puts pressure on the family to make changes. Sometimes these changes are not wanted and disrupt the family dynamic. Closed Systems "If not enough change is allowed to occur, the system is said to be closed."(Becvar & Becvar, 1999, p. 23) While there is no type of system which is entirely closed, there are some systems that lack beneficial energy or input to stay balanced.

Entropy

Entropy is a term used to describe a force that is present in all family systems. If the system is lacking a sufficient amount of social exchange, the family relationship tends to weaken and breakdown. Melanie and Jake are a perfect example of entropy. They Get more content

Essay on Family Systems Theory

The history of art dates back to ancient times. Artwork can be, and was, found around the world. What makes art interesting is that it can be created in any way, shape or form with any materials. It seems that the artwork can also tell us a lot about the artist. Art seems to be simply, a direct, visual reflection of the artist's life. Therefore, one can assume that an artist's life experiences and beliefs directly influence their art. If we look at examples from different periods of art we will be able to see the connection between the artist and the art.

One of the earliest examples of beliefs and tradition affecting art can be seen in Ancient art. The ancient Egyptians had a strong...show more content...

This could be true, but it just shows how life experiences also directly influence the outcome of a piece. If we look at periods closer to the present we can also see other strong examples of the relevance between art and the artist. Impressionism began during the 19th century. An example of an artist's beliefs influencing his art can be seen in the works of Pierre Auguste Renoir. It is documented that he felt that art should be different from the real world, which can be cold and harsh. He said, "Why shouldn't art be pretty?" and "There are enough unpleasant things in the world." An example of his attitude towards art can be seen in 'A Girl with a Watering Can' from 1876. This picture can easily be interpreted as being beautiful and therefore it proves that his belief of art is true. 'Dance at Bougival' from 1883, is yet another example of the artist and the inspiration for the art. By painting an attractive scene with two people dancing accompanied by laughing faces in the background we see a correlation between his quotes above and this piece. Therefore, one can conclude that Renoir painted mostly beautiful and attractive art. Unfortunately, for some artists, the reality of life isn't so beautiful. One of the most talented, yet mentally ill artists of all time wasVincent Van Gogh. He was also from the 19th century belonging to the post–impressionists. In order for one to analyze the art of
