We support local unity and empowerment.
Canterbury Bankstown is not just a place on the map; it's a community with boundless potential. As the CEO of the CBCC, I'm here to rally support, not just from government bodies but from every one of us.
Our local, state, and federal governments play pivotal roles in our progress. Let us engage them, not with demands, but with compelling data and stories showcasing our community's strengths. We have secured $1.3B investment in our local hospital, but let see if this investment can support our blue collar community. We hope that contracts go to locals, and our members. We will continue to fight for this! Together, we can encourage policies that fuel our growth and well-being.
However, the government alone cannot transform our community. The real power lies within us, the residents and business owners. When we choose to spend locally, we're not just buying products; we're investing in our neighbours' dreams and in our own community's prosperity. Let us pledge to shop at local businesses, attend community events, and cherish our vibrant culture welcoming local and foreign tourism to join us.
Canterbury Bankstown's success depends on our collective efforts. By working hand in hand with government, businesses, and our fellow community members, we can write a remarkable story of progress and unity. Together, we can make Canterbury Bankstown the shining example of what a community can achieve when it stands together.
Thank you for your support, and let us embark on this journey of growth and solidarity.

This unique event was made possible with the support of NSW Women and the DSS Australia National Disability Initiative, to empower and uplift individuals looking to rejoin the workforce after facing various challenges.
In a significant development, the US Consulate approached CBCC to explore a partnership with local businesses and CALD communities. This exciting collaboration reflects their recognition of our calibre and the impactful work we do. This partnership aims to bring our community together and further support the empowerment of diverse voices.
Our event was truly privileged to host esteemed speakers and influential figures, including representatives from the US Consulate, local council members, NSW women, CBCC board members, and the CBCC Women's Committee.

Budawia Bechara, a seasoned healthcare professional from Tender Loving Care Disability Services, shared invaluable insights into overcoming fears related to skill and pain, addressing early catastrophic thoughts, and confronting cultural attitudes.
She emphasised the pivotal role of diversity, inclusion, and workplace support, especially for those with hidden disabilities.
Bechara underscored the significance of collaboration between physiotherapy and allied professionals and employers in facilitating injury rehabilitation.
With 21 years of experience, Theresa Armstrong, Director at Madison Marcus discussed the evolving landscape of workers' compensation in NSW, advocating for educating individuals about their rights and obligations.
She spoke about empowering injured workers to confidently return to the workforce through treatment and mental health support.
Amidst enlightening discussions, attendees enjoyed a delectable lunch and had the opportunity to contribute to the
charitable organisation "Little Wings", making a positive impact in support of sick children in NSW
Our event wasn't just about conversations; it was about building connections and collaborations that promised to benefit our community in meaningful ways.
In line with CBCC's mission to empower young entrepreneurs, Victoria Valassis shared her journey in the videography business, offering inspiration and a glimpse into the possibilities within our community.

Our CEO shares insights about what makes a good litigator in a interview with CBCC about debt recovery.
A strong litigator in Sydney combines legal expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication.
They possess a solid grasp of both procedural rules and substantive law, enabling them to construct compelling arguments and anticipate counterstrategies.
Proficient in research, they extract pertinent case law and statutes to bolster their case. Adept at negotiation, they secure favorable settlements while maintaining excellent communication with clients.
Time management ensures deadlines are met amidst multitasking. As they refine these attributes, litigators grow into effective professionals capable of representing clients successfully in Sydney's legal landscape.
Confidence, attention to detail, and adaptability are essential traits, allowing them to navigate unexpected shifts in a case. Their emotional intelligence fosters client trust, as they guide clients through the legal process with empathy Upholding ethical standards, they work collaboratively with colleagues and demonstrate a commanding courtroom presence. The best litigators keep you out of court, and happy with the outcome.
It's important clients feel heard, and counseled well.
