Revitalising our Central Business Districts (CBDs) is about creating vibrant, sustainable communities where businesses thrive and people connect.
The “Support Local, Build Local” campaign encourages consumers to prioritise local businesses and businesses to support one another, strengthening our community's heartbeat.
When consumers shop locally, they keep money circulating within the community, creating jobs and supporting families. When businesses collaborate, they build stronger networks and drive innovation.
Together, these efforts transform CBDs into dynamic spaces where people want to live, work, and spend time.
Launching on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Club Mount Lewis, the campaign will showcase the unique offerings of local businesses through events, loyalty programs, and initiatives like the “Local Shopping Challenge.”
Social media campaigns and incentives, such as discounts and prize draws, will inspire residents to shop local and share success stories.
For businesses, networking events, workshops, and co-marketing opportunities will foster collaboration and mutual support, contributing to the broader economic health of our CBDs.
“Support Local, Build Local” is a call to action: by choosing local, we create lasting change and ensure our CBDs remain vibrant hubs of connection and opportunity.
Let’s grow together—support local, build local!
