Local communities that lose newspapers often do not get a print or digital replacement In Greater Western Sydney, that leaves almost 25 million people living in an area with no local news and extremely limited access to critical news and information. Access to critical news and information is vital to making substantiated and informed decisions, sustaining grassroot community participation and maintaining the essence of democratic principles.
‘Keeping News Local’ is an Independent Australian Based Start Up that aims to fill the void and bring Local News back to residents throughout Australia wherever Independent Local News is absent
We will be launching some of our papers online in coming weeks and intend on launching free print editions in coming months. We would like to hear from news thirsty locals, potential partners, and contributors
