Today’s question is “why is diversity in leadership important?”

Most importantly it can help you to establish and build trust.

In addition to that, diverse leadership also brings a wealth of knowledge and changing perspectives. This can help improve the way leadership relates to those inside and outside of an organisation.

That is an amazing approach. Why, I hear you ask? Well, it’s because by doing so you are promoting your employees, who can be from different backgrounds and experiences, to share their unique skill sets and knowledge base. In turn, this can make your operation more robust and productive, as well as help your operation thrive in a competitive market.

Let us always remember:

From our Members

We are extremely honoured to have been named as a finalist at the Asia Pacific NACS retailer of the year awards held in Singapore.

It was awesome to see two Aussie family-owned independent retailers make the top three and even better that the award was won by our fellow Aussies, the team at APCO Service Stations Wangaratta.

To my son Tadros Nader, Colyton was not a bad first up effort. Co winning the AACS Independent Store Of the year and Overall store of the year awards and being named as a finalist in the NACS award is something special. You did it in two years, It took me thirty plus years!

Thank you to Theo Foukkare and the AACS board for nominating our Colyton store and to Megan Foster, Stephen Crystal, and the team at Viva Energy Australia for giving us the opportunity to create our magic at Colyton.

DOOR TO SUCCESS OPENS INWARDS

Creating your own personal reality

How many people do you know that wake up and consciously create their future?

WE have around 60,000 - 70,000 thoughts per day where around 90% of those thoughts are the same thoughts we had the day before.

So, if the same thoughts will lead us to the same choices, which in turn creates the same behaviour, and the same behaviour leads us to the same dull and repetitious experiences, then by unconscious choice, we are building, designing and reliving uninspired lives devoid of creativity and zest.

Doesn't life and our customers deserve a better version of ourselves?

The Gymea Fair will be proceeding on 30 October 2022 at this stage.

Below is the cost of sites for 2022. Please note there is a $50 non refundable admin fee.

Payment must be made at the same time you apply for a site.

Applications will close when Gymea Chamber of Commerce deems that all sites are full.

If you require any further information, please contact the undersigned.

We are hoping that this year will be bigger and better after 2 years of covid cancellations.

Lift Off Early Intervention was founded in 2021 by a special educator that has been in the field for over two decades. Lift Off EI brings the community a leading early intervention clinic that is built on heart and integrity. We offer Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapy, which is an evidence-based therapy. Early intervention offering ESDM is specialised support for children (0-5 years) with disability, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental delay and other additional needs. We have children as young as 18 months attending the clinic. We also offer developmental education therapy for children with disability, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental delay and other additional needs that are school age (5-18 years) and transition to school. It is also a training centre for early educators, teachers and parents. We also offer a myriad of topics that we hold training sessions on a regular basis. After outgrowing our two-room space in Earlwood, we opened our doors purposebuilt clinic at the Roselands Health Hub on Monday 18th July. We celebrated our official launch on the 10th of August and were lucky enough to have over 60 people support us on the night, including CBCC board members and CEO Wally Mehanna. We extend our thanks to all who attended

and for their kind wishes.

We are not just another clinic; this is my legacy. My team and I bring the community a centre of excellence, an experience, a home away from home, and a place where everyone who walks through our doors is considered our Lift Off family. We want this to be not just about the children, but just as importantly, about the parents and family of each child. Here at Lift Off we are heavily invested in every family and make it a priority to be approachable and caring. The priority is to provide support to children in a safe, happy, empowering, and strength-based environment. Each individual child’s needs are identified and supported through ongoing collaboration with family members and other professionals.

My name is Voula, and I am the Founder and Director of Lift Off EI. I am also one of the ESDM therapists at Lift Off. I have been in the special education field since 1999 as a teacher and am blessed to work in my passion every day. I have completed a Master of Special Education and a Master of Autism. I then furthered my studies by completing the ESDM course to become an ESDM therapist. I wanted the qualifications and experience working with children with ASD from 0-18 years of age. Lift Off began because of my passion and commitment to provide highquality education and evidence-based practice to children with special and additional needs.

We look forward to welcoming many more families to our Lift Off family in the years to come. We encourage the community to help raise awareness of disability and the amazing supports that are available to access in the community. If you have any questions or would like to get in contact with us, please feel free to email us at admin@liftoffei.com.au.

Our aim is to enhance the availability of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Reserve by facilitating strong and productive working relationships between reservists and their civilian employers.

ADF Reserves and Employer Support engage with key stakeholders including ADF units, reservists and their civilian employers. We seek to build relationships by increasing awareness and understanding of:

the contribution reservists make when they are away from their civilian employment the skills they are bringing back to their civilian workforce the immersive experiences available to further understand the skills and training provided to Reserve members the formal recognition of civilian employers of reservists Defence funded civilian development opportunities available, such as the Prince of Wales Awards and the Tasman Scheme, and support options available to assist employers during the temporary loss of an employee due to their Defence service, such as the Employer Support Payment Scheme.

Get the reservist experience

ADF immersion activities are designed to enhance support for the Reserves by giving employers and senior staff a hands-on experience of what Reserves do.

ADF immersions are usually held in conjunction with a Navy, Army or Air Force exercise which afford the participants the opportunity to see how Reserves contribute to the ADF, an insight into Reserve service and the skills reservists bring to their civilian workforce.
