MARCH 2019
A NOTE FROM COLE: year, I was quite “OK” with getting up on this massive stage in this huge room. GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE I am not gonna lie… I am not very adventurous. I usually like to stay within my comfort zone. However, the best growth happens when we get comfortable with the uncomfortable.
All in all, the talk went very well. People loved it and I felt pretty comfortable up there. But make no mistake, there is always room for improvement and I am already thinking of what I can do better next time.
Ya know what’s scary? Public speaking. ...and that’s why for the last 3 years, every chance I get, I get on stage and speak. My heart usually starts beating a bit faster and sometimes it even feels like there is a weight on my chest, but, I don’t let it stop me and always try to do better than my previous time speaking. Usually I am only speaking to a 100 or so people but not this last weekend when I was asked to speak at the Traffic and Conversion Summit where there was 7,000 in attendance!
OK, now it’s your turn… Ask yourself, are you pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone?
So here I was, speaking on the same stage as Rachel Hollis, Sir Richard Branson, Brendon Burchard and many more.
If not, it’s time to change that. Don’t worry, start small… you don’t need to hop on a stage or anything.
...and the room was packed!
Just remember, if you keep yourself in your “comfort zone” don’t expect much growth - both personally & professionally.
In the past, I would have totally been a nervous wreck, but not this time. Thanks to me putting myself up on stage a few times a
You got this! Cole
