Premier officially handed over the Colesberg taxi rank

On Friday, November 18, the Premier, Dr Zamani Saul, officially handed over the Colesberg taxi rank to the Umsobomvu Municipality and the Colesberg community on behalf of the Provincial Government. Working together with different stakeholders, the taxi rank is

expected to be a hive of activity in an effort to grow the economy of the town. The Department of Transport, Safety, and Liaison will work together withthe Municipality and different stakeholders, which include SMMEs, to ensure the smooth running of thistaxirank.

Motsepe Foundation contributes to quality public education

The Department of Education has always worked and continues to work with the private sector and education institutions to improve the quality of education in the Northern Cape. schooling system.Corporationsandtheir affiliated foundations have invested significantly in the education sector through manifold types of interventionsinsupportofthe public system as well as through supplementary parallel activities. The Northern Cape Department of Education welcomes the generous investment by the Motsepe Foundation towards eight (8) schools in the

Northern Cape This investment will contribute significantly towards the upgrade of infrastructure facilities at the following schools: E. P. Lekhela High School, Tetlanyo High School, Thabane High School, Emmanuel Secondary High School,Roodepan High School, Kim Golo Primary School, Pampierstad High School (Phokoane), and Boresetse HighSchool(Dikgatlong).Each school received a donation of R320 000, which will be used to create a conducive environment for learning and
