In line with Germany's observance of its reunification, our students commemorated the values of democracy, freedom, and unity symbolized by the German state that emerged following the historic event on October 3, 1990 —the country's main federal holiday.
Students across all grade levels immersed themselves in the historical significance of this date as part of their German and German culture classes. Subsequently, they took part in outdoor activities and participated in a civic event coordinated by the German department. During this event, they enjoyed a traditional pretzel with apple juice.

Following the Allies' occupation of Germany in 1945, two di erent German states were formed with di ering ideologies and economic systems: the capitalist Federal Republic in the west and the Democratic Republic, an authoritarian socialist state in the east. 1

The Berlin Wall, built in 1961 and about 160 km long, fell more than a year before reunification and did not divide Germany from north to south. Instead, it enclosed the area of West Berlin, a historic place for civil liberties and an entertainment industry icon.
German Reunification meant adding 5 federal states to the Federal Republic and moving the federal capital from Bonn to Berlin in 1999. For this move, 24 freight trains with a total capacity of 55’000 cubic meters were required to move parliamentary documents alone.

Meeting for families interested in the upcoming Summer Camp in Germany!
In preparation for our Summer Camp set to take place in July 2025, designed to enhance German language learning for students aged 10-16 in an immersive setting, the school held the first virtual general meeting with the local provider in Germany, Did Deutsch Institut.
During the approximately 45-minute meeting, we familiarized ourselves with the provider's corporate profile, reviewed the program features of the school o er, and addressed various questions from parents. The session was encouraging and promising, focusing on the well-be-
