The Condor Teacher cultivates conditions where Colegio Roosevelt’s Mission is lived. Certification in Subject/Division/Grade Level
Teaching License
A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
Strong English language proficiency
A willingness and ability to reflect and critically examine teaching practices and a commitment to continuous improvement
Experience in an overseas international school
Proven ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
Ability to build constructive, inclusive communities
Trained in Child Safety & Protection to include active supervision practices
Experience with backward-by-design unit planning
Ability to communicate concrete and abstract concepts to learners
Deep understanding of the developmental needs and the pedagogy that supports continued growth
A proven ability to utilize data, varied instructional strategies, and resources, in order to meet the diverse needs of learners
Ability to build constructive classroom communities through the implementation of advisory practices, class meetings, and/or positive approaches to discipline
Effective implementation of a wide range of assessment strategies
Skilled at integrating social-emotional learning into content/curricular areas
The Condor Teacher is expected to positively participate in a collegial and collaborative working environment. In this environment teachers are expected to:
Develop relationships with and understand the needs, interests, and well-being of individual learners

Exhibit a positive attitude with a calm, patient, and consistent approach for all learners
Communicate effectively to build strong, positive working relationships with colleagues and students
Establish connections with the parent community to ensure that parents are kept well-informed about learner progress
Collaborate with colleagues to plan units of study, design assessments, moderate and analyze assessments, and share instructional strategies to maximize learning
Take initiative, be proactive, and follow-through
Engages in personal/professional learning opportunities offered both on and off campus and contributes to the development of others and the well-being of the school
Support new teachers, students, and parents in their transition to the school community
Participate in and assist with school events
Aligned with the recommendations of the International Taskforce on Child Protection, we hold ourselves to a high standard of effective recruiting practices with specific attention to child protection.
