As a San Diego native, I enjoy our Southern California beach culture. Making the process of buying and selling easy is my goal. Clear communication, educating clients and the highest level of customer service is what I strive for. Clients can expect honesty and integrity in every part of the real estate process.
Currently I reside in the La Mesa area with the lights of my life: my five-year-old son, my wife, and my dog. I am passionate about cooking and enjoy serving friends and family great meals. I enjoy camping, hiking, hunting and fishing. The outdoors is our way of relaxing and getting closer to nature.
“I found Yusef through a friend. I wanted to sell my home and purchase another for the first time in over 20 years. Yusef explained everything and stayed in touch almost daily with offers on my home and potential homes to purchase. He found me the perfect home to buy at a very good deal, and sold my primary home for what I feel is the best price I could have received. I will recommend Yusef to every one I know! His communication was top notch and he made the transactions very smooth without stress. He is the nicest real estate agent ever!”
- Steven H“I definitely recommend Yusef Hussainy. My house sold in less than two weeks for more than the asking price.”
- John Radovich
“Thank you for taking on the task of selling our family home of more than 50 years. You were very professional, caring and sensitive to our family needs. Thank you for making a difficult time easier. We are forever grateful to you and proud to have you in our family. Thank you, Yusef, from the whole family.”
“This is the second time Yusef has acted as our Realtor, and if we do business in San Diego again he will be the first person we call. Yusef is very thorough in his research, knowledgeable about the market and provides excellent customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend Yusef to anyone who asked ‘do you know a good Realtor?’ Thank you, Yusef, for all your hard work on our behalf and going above and beyond to make sure we closed on time.”

When Pantone introduced the 2022 Color of the Year, they noted how the periwinkle Veri Peri “blended the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red.” In what seems like a worthy evolution, Pantone has stripped out the blue, embracing the vibrancy of red this year. Introducing the 2023 Color of the Year, Pantone 18-1750 Viva Magenta.
A “nuanced” crimson red with a balance between warm and cool, Viva Magenta is “brave and fearless, a pulsating color whose exuberance
promotes optimism and joy,” says Pantone. They describe the color as empowering, animated, electrifying, boundaryless, audacious, witty, and perfect for “anyone and everyone with the same rebellious spirit.”
However, unlike power reds that paint a space in fiery boldness, Viva Magenta brings a softer touch. “Assertive but not aggressive, it is a carmine red that does not boldly dominate but instead takes a ‘fist in a velvet glove’ approach,” says Pantone Color Institute executive director Leatrice Eiseman.
The “transformative” hue also has the ability to drive design toward “a more positive future,” with application in both the physical and virtual world. “As virtual worlds become a more prominent part of our daily lives, we look to draw inspiration from nature and what is real,” says Eiseman. To that end, Viva Magenta was inspired by the cochineal, a natural red dye derived from insects and one which Pantone says is “one of the strongest and brightest (pigments)” in the world. “Rooted in the primordial, Pantone 18-1750 Viva Magenta reconnects us to original matter,” she says. “Invoking the forces of nature, it galvanizes our spirit, helping us to build our inner strength.”
is, perhaps, to be expected. So, too, will be its emergence in home design.
As Architectural Digest notes, “Residential and commercial interiors (are) a natural next step,” and “kitchens (and kitchen appliances), which have long harbored a respect for red, can be imbued with ‘a touch of newness’ via Viva Magenta.”
Pantone invites us to “harness the full power of the Color of the Year as a velvet couch or lacquered wall. Or, use it in smaller doses, as a pop of color in lighting, textiles, art, or tabletop accents. “Viva Magenta packs a lot of drama in a small dose,” they say.
Pantone will showcase Viva Magenta through several partnerships: Motorola is releasing a special edition of its Edge 30 Fusion phone in the 2023 Color of the Year; Motorola parent company Lenovo will feature the color in its PC and tablet category; Spoonflower will introduce one-of-a-kind designs by six independent artists featuring a custom color palette, including Viva Magenta; and The Hydrow Wave Rower will break out of the traditional blackand-steel aesthetic of home fitness machines with new colorways including a special-edition version in Viva Magenta, “allowing for selfexpression and celebration in even the most unexpected of places.”
With Barbiecore pink dominating fashion and other bold expressions of color breaking through the neutral stranglehold of the last few years, the transition to a more intensely saturated hue

A quick guide to what & where to give.
The following is a guest post from NorthStar Moving Company’s Co-Founder and Chief of Organized Living, Laura McHolm.
Here’s a simple way of spreading love and cheer to fill your heart and empty your home.
It’s easy to give to those in need — just look around your home. Just look around your home. Perhaps you have clothing,
furniture, kitchen items, or even food that’s been cluttering up your home and fridge? Follow this guide of what and where to give. It is the ideal time to give your household items a new home and make someone else’s day brighter.
Clear your kitchen of food items you don’t plan to consume.
What to Donate:
Wondering if your food bank wants your three pound bottle of mustard? Here are the top items that they need:
• Canned vegetables & fruits
• Canned stews & soups
• Canned beans
• Canned tuna
• Pasta & sauce
• Baby food
• Dry beans
• Flour
• Cereal & oatmeal
• Juice
• Rice
• Peanut/nut butters & jelly/jams
Sort through your closets and ask: When was the last time I wore or used this? If you can’t remember, donate it.
What to Donate:
• Baby, kids’ and adult clothing
• Coats (kids and families are in great need of coats this time of year)
• Suits
• Belts
• Scarves
• Ties
• Pocketbooks
• Boots
• Shoes
Where to Donate:
- Your local Food Bank. You can find your local food bank here
- Check with your local fire department, places of worship, schools and grocery stores to see if they are hosting food pantry donation drop-offs
- Moving soon? Find a mover who will volunteer to deliver your non-perishable food to your local food bank at no additional cost. Visit Move for Hunger to find a local participating moving company
- Willing to roll-up your sleeves? Start your own food drive. Simply ask local businesses, schools and libraries to put out your colorfully decorated food drive donation boxes and use your social networks to get the word out. It only takes 1.2 lbs of food to provide a meal to an individual in need, so it doesn’t matter how big your food drive is, every little bit helps
Where to Donate: Bring gently used clothing to the following charities, go online or call them to see if they will come to your door to pick up your donations.
- Goodwill
- Salvation Army
- Epilepsy Foundation
- Veteran organizations
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of America
- Red Cross
- Check with your local fire department, places of worship, and schools, to see if they are hosting clothing donation drop-offs
Sort through old toy boxes in your home. Get your kids involved in sorting through their things so they get to learn the ultimate gift – the gift of giving!
What to Donate: Gently used, unbroken toys or new toys that are unwrapped (it depends on the charity if a new toy is required so contact them first)
• Stuffed animals
• Coloring books & crayons
• School supplies and stationery
• Handheld games
• Children’s books
• No toy guns or other violent toys
Not only are your old things finding a new life, you’re making room for the new and clearing space for entertaining.

• Appliances (small)
• Artwork
• Bedspreads, blankets, curtains, tablecloths, decorative pillows

Tidy up those 2022 taxes by making a taxdeductible donation to a favorite local charity or these deserving nonprofit organizations:
- Claire’s Place Foundation: Founded by thirteenyear-old Claire Wineland who was born with cystic fibrosis, the foundation provides financial assistance to families so they can afford to sit bedside while their family member is in the hospital
- Hands and Hearts of Hope: Supports homeless college students, most of whom were emancipated from the foster system and left without resources
- Miry’s List: Provides essential household needs to families who have recently resettled in the United States as vetted refugees from war torn countries such as Syria, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and the Ukraine
- My Stuff Bags Foundation: Fills overnight bags with new belongings to provide comfort and hope to children who were rescued from abandonment, abuse, domestic violence, homelessness or neglect
