love mission is the Community of Fai th 2025

Dear Community of Faith Family,
We are so excited about what God is doing through our missions partners around the world! Every story reminds us that when we give, serve, and pray together, lives are being changed in ways we may never fully see—but heaven surely does.
Our partners are on the front lines—feeding the hungry, caring for orphans, sharing the gospel, and bringing hope to communities in need. And we get to be part of that! What an incredible privilege it is to join God in His work across the globe.
As we continue to support these ministries, I want to encourage each of us to lean in—to learn more, to pray faithfully, and to give generously. Every act of generosity, no matter the size, makes a difference and advances God’s kingdom through the hands and hearts of our partners.
Thank you for being a church that loves big, gives boldly, and lives on mission. Together, we are making a lasting impact!
With joy and gratitude,

BOYS & GIRLS COUNTRY
HOCKLEY, TX

Meet GEORGE
When George—“Gee” to those who know him—arrived at Boys & Girls Country at age 11, he was stepping into an entirely new world. Born in North Dakota to Liberian parents who fled violence in West Africa, Gee was the second youngest of eight children. When his parents’ health struggles made it hard to care for their family, Gee and his younger sister found a safe home at BGC.
The transition wasn’t easy. Starting middle school in a new environment brought culture shock—different accents, expectations, even clothing styles. But instead of retreating, Gee leaned on two anchors: his faith and his love for basketball. On the court, he says, “God’s energy takes over,” giving him focus and confidence.
At BGC, Gee also discovered a new passion—fashion. Through the Kidpreneurs program, he launched his own clothing line, Disciple, designing and printing shirts that reflect his creativity and faith. With the support of mentors and houseparents, he’s gained life skills, confidence, and a vision for the future.
Gee dreams of expanding Disciple while continuing to excel in basketball. His story reflects BGC’s mission— giving children love, stability, and opportunity so they can thrive.

Meet alma
When Alma arrived at Boys & Girls Country, she carried only a plastic Walmart bag and the clothes on her back. Her first stop was the clothing closet, where she found something to wear to school the next day. It was a humble beginning—and the first step in a remarkable journey.
The early days weren’t easy. Alma had faced countless challenges before coming to BGC, and adjusting to new routines took courage. But she quickly discovered what makes this place special: love, stability, and opportunity. With the support of her houseparents, mentors, and peers, she began to believe in herself again.
In high school, Alma thrived—graduating from Waller High School and then attending Texas State University, where she continued to shine. This year, she proudly earned her bachelor’s degree and joined fellow graduates in the school’s cherished river plunge tradition—a joyful leap into her next chapter.
Now preparing for graduate school, Alma’s future is bright. Her story reflects the heart of Boys & Girls Country: transforming the lives of children from families in crisis by surrounding them with faith, love, and opportunity—and helping them grow into strong, self-sustaining adults.

WALLER PREGNANCY care CENTER
WALLER, TX

Meet SUSAN
My name is Susan. I’m 25 years old and a mother of three boys. Nine months ago, I took a pregnancy test, and it was positive. I wasn’t happy—I was scared and overwhelmed. My baby’s father, friends, and even my manager all urged me to have an abortion.
Then I met Ms. Janet and the team at the Waller Pregnancy Care Center. They offered a food basket for my two older children and took time to discuss my options with compassion and without pressure. They invited me to Bible study and gave me an Embrace Grace box, reminding me that God still had a plan for my life.
Through counseling, prayer, and support from the WPCC staff, I began to feel hope again. They taught me about self-care, helped me through medical challenges, and encouraged me when I wanted to give up. I realized that my faith was being tested—and that God wasn’t finished with me yet.
Today, I thank God for my beautiful baby boy. When I look at his face, I see purpose and redemption. The Waller Pregnancy Care Center gave me courage to choose life and reminded me that with God, there’s always a way forward.

Meet KATHY
My name is Kathy, and I’m the proud mother of a baby boy. Several months ago, the WIC office told me about the Waller Pregnancy Care Center, and that introduction changed my life.
From my first visit, I felt welcomed and supported. The staff taught me practical ways to prepare for childbirth and what it truly means to show up as a mother. I was excited but also scared—unsure of what to expect. The team at WPCC helped me replace fear with confidence, reminding me that God designed me to nurture and protect my child.
My mom even attended some sessions with me, and together we learned tips we still use today. When I gave birth, she coached me through labor using what we’d learned from the center.
After my son was born, WPCC continued to check in and invited me into the Family Way Empowerment Program. Each class gave me new tools—from infant CPR to navigating the challenges of new motherhood. But what changed me most was the spiritual encouragement I received. On October 10th, I gave my life to Christ. I’m forever grateful to the Waller Pregnancy Care Center for guiding me as both a mother and a believer.

MIRACLE FARM
BRENHAM, TX

Meet jared
Jared arrived at Miracle Farm in June 2022, two months before his 14th birthday. Three years later, he earned his high school diploma through the Farm’s on-campus Premier High School, an accredited charter program where young men can graduate while living and learning on the ranch.
Before coming to the Farm, Jared lived with his mom, stepdad, and four siblings in a home weighed down by health issues and constant stress. Though he was passing classes, he needed structure and guidance—something Miracle Farm provides in abundance.
Quiet and reserved, Jared’s calm presence hides a bright blue-eyed smile that appears when he’s amused. Spiritually, he grew quickly, getting baptized soon after arriving. His house mother calls him “a servant’s heart,” recalling when he literally gave his shoes to another boy whose home had burned down.
Now, Jared’s family visits have improved; he and his stepdad even go fishing together. He plans to remain at the Farm while working two off-site jobs and attending Blinn College in Brenham. Known as “Mr. Fix-It,” he hopes to study facilities management and use his mechanical skills to help others.
MIRACLE FARM
BRENHAM, TX
Meet john
John arrived at Miracle Farm at just 15 years old, reeling from the loss of his mother and instability in his stepfather’s home. Angry, hurt, and adrift, he was searching for stability and belonging. At the Farm, he found both—and more.
In the structured, faith-rooted environment of Miracle Farm, John discovered a new sense of purpose. The daily rhythm of chores, devotionals, and hard work began to replace chaos with consistency. He built trust through relationships with staff and peers who genuinely cared. Working with horses became a turning point for him—it taught patience, courage, and calm strength. Even small acts of kindness, like receiving a homemade birthday cake, reminded him that he was seen and valued.
A boy from inner-city Austin, John was stunned by life on the ranch—the open skies, fresh air, and quiet connection to God’s creation. He says if he ever had the chance, he’d build another Miracle Farm so other lost boys could experience what he did.
Today, John is a devoted husband, father to his fiveyear-old daughter, and a life coach who helps others find hope in Christ. The same principles he learned at Miracle Farm—honesty, hard work, and perseverance—now guide his home, his faith, and his calling.

ABBAS HOUSE
CYPRESS, TX

Meet jeane
Jeane spent 27 years living as a refugee in a remote Tanzanian camp, cooking over an open fire and drawing water from a village well. In January, she finally received approval to come to the United States with her two children, Asia and Farajah.
But just weeks after arriving, policy changes cut her benefits, and she was suddenly facing eviction. In desperation, Jeane came to Abba’s House—where she found shelter, stability, and a community ready to love and support her family.
What followed was a year of “firsts.” Asia and Farajah became the first baptisms ever held at Abba’s House— on Easter Sunday. Asia turned 15 and celebrated with her very first birthday cake. Then, in June, Jeane gave birth to a baby boy—the first baby born at Abba’s House—whom she named Michael Amisi, in honor of Pastor Michael, the executive director.
After seven months of healing, growth, and preparation, Jeane and her children moved into their own apartment just in time for the new school year.
Thank you, COF, for helping families like Jeane’s find hope, dignity, and a fresh start. Together, we are truly being the hands and feet of Jesus to refugees in need.
ABBAS HOUSE
CYPRESS, TX

This past year, Abba’s House welcomed four courageous Afghan women—each fleeing for her life. Their stories are different, but their bravery is the same. All had served alongside the U.S. military or worked to advance women’s rights under the former Afghan government. When the Taliban regained control, their lives were in immediate danger.
Many fled to neighboring countries like Pakistan and Iran, hoping to find safety. But as mass deportations began, thousands of refugees were forced back into Afghanistan—often facing imprisonment or death. For these four women, time was running out.
By God’s grace, and through the partnership of COF, Abba’s House was able to intervene. Our team helped secure their safe passage to the U.S. and provided immediate shelter, food, and care upon arrival. At Abba’s House, they found peace for the first time in years—a warm meal, a safe bed, and a community that reminded them they were not forgotten. They are now rebuilding their lives, pursuing education, and dreaming again.
Thank you, COF family, for standing with us. Your support helped change the course of these women’s lives and gave them something priceless: safety, dignity, and hope for the future.
THE MISSION OF YAHWEH
HOUSTON, TX

Homelessness leaves lasting scars on children—robbing them of stability, safety, and the simple joys of childhood. But through your generosity, The Mission of Yahweh is rewriting that story.
Your support provides shelter for families, warm meals for those who have gone hungry, and life-skills programs that help mothers rebuild their lives. Every dollar given helps break the cycle of homelessness and replaces despair with hope.
The Mission of Yahweh isn’t just a shelter—it’s a place where families rediscover dignity and children are reminded that they are seen, loved, and capable of dreaming again. Through mentorship, education, and consistent care, mothers are equipped to create lasting change for their families.
When you give through the annual Best Gift Offering, your impact multiplies—ensuring even more children can grow up surrounded by safety and opportunity instead of fear and uncertainty.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for partnering with The Mission of Yahweh to bring restoration where it’s needed most. Together, we’re helping kids just be kids again—safe, joyful, and free to imagine a brighter tomorrow.
CY-FAIR HELPING HANDS
HOUSTON, TX
“Still Showing Up” — A Story of Quiet Bravery
For fifteen years, he lived in the shadows of the city—beneath overpasses, behind buildings, wherever the night allowed. Cancer crept in quietly, and seizures began stealing moments without warning. Just last month, two nearly took his life. But he is still here.
Thanks to the relentless compassion of Cy-Fair Helping Hands and its partners, he now has a key to his own apartment. Though it’s miles from the day center, he still makes the journey back—not for services or food, but to help.
He arrives early, often before the doors open. He sweeps the sidewalk, folds towels, greets new clients with a nod that says, “You’re safe here.” He gives back, even when his body is failing him.
When asked why he keeps coming, he said simply, “Because you didn’t give up on me. I want to be part of that for someone else.”
His health is fragile, his future uncertain—but his heart is steady. His story reminds us that dignity doesn’t depend on circumstance, and healing often begins with being seen.
Thank you, COF, for partnering with Cy-Fair Helping Hands to make moments of hope and quiet bravery like this possible.

Meet ELENA
Elena, a survivor of sex trafficking and domestic violence, found hope at The Landing’s Drop-In Center. When she arrived, she was determined to rebuild her life but needed guidance, stability, and support.
With the help of her case manager, Elena joined The Landing’s Empowerment Program—a job readiness course designed to help survivors gain practical skills and confidence. Step by step, she began to see a future beyond her trauma. With newfound determination, she secured a steady job and found safe housing.
Upon graduating, Elena used her scholarship funds to start a small cleaning business. That decision changed everything. Financial independence gave her the freedom to permanently leave her trafficker and rebuild her life on her own terms.
Years later, Elena is thriving as an entrepreneur and proud grandmother. Her dream is to expand her business and hire other survivors, giving them the same opportunity she was given.
Her story is a beautiful picture of restoration and courage—and a reminder that God’s grace can turn brokenness into strength. Thank you, Community of Faith, for helping make stories like Elena’s possible through your faithful support.
THE LANDING
HOUSTON, TX
Meet JORDAN
When Jordan first connected with The Landing’s Drop-In Center, she was at a crossroads. Facing housing instability and working hard to overcome substance use, she was determined to rebuild her life.
Her first victory came when she secured her own apartment—a major step toward independence and stability. Having a safe, consistent place to call home gave her the foundation she needed to focus on recovery and growth.
From there, Jordan’s determination only grew. She stayed committed to living drug-free, found two steady jobs, and began building a routine that brought structure and confidence back into her days. With support from her case manager, she also qualified for HHSC benefits, ensuring access to healthcare and essential resources.
Jordan’s progress has been remarkable. What began as a fight for survival has become a journey of strength, courage, and hope. She’s now building a sustainable, independent future—proof that change is possible when compassion meets opportunity.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for making stories like Jordan’s possible through your partnership with The Landing.

OPEN DOOR MISSION
HOUSTON, TX

Meet CHRISTOPHER
My name is Christopher Martinez, and for years my life was ruled by drugs and alcohol. Addiction stole everything from me—my peace, my relationships, and my hope. I tried to change on my own, but every promise I made to myself ended the same way: in failure and shame.
When I walked through the doors of Open Door Mission, I was broken and desperate. I didn’t just need help—I needed a Savior. Through the Doorway Recovery Program, I encountered the love of Jesus Christ and learned that my worth wasn’t defined by my past but by the God who created me.
Step by step, Christ began to heal me from the inside out. I earned my GED—something I never thought I could accomplish—and now I’m attending trade school full time to build a career I can be proud of.
But my greatest achievement isn’t academic—it’s freedom. I’m no longer chained by addiction; I’m living in grace. Today, I’m a proud member of Community of Faith, worshiping alongside my brothers and sisters who walked with me through transformation.
What once felt impossible has become reality because of God’s mercy and the hope I found at Open Door Mission.
OPEN DOOR MISSION
HOUSTON, TX
Meet BRANDON
For most of my life, I was trapped in addiction. My name is Brandon Warner, and I’m a redeemed son of Jesus Christ. Drugs and alcohol consumed me, and every time I tried to break free, I ended up right back where I started—angry, ashamed, and hopeless.
Everything changed the day I walked through the doors of Open Door Mission. I didn’t just find a recovery program—I found Jesus. When I surrendered my life to Him, He began rebuilding what I had destroyed. Through the Christ-centered Recovery Program, I learned discipline, accountability, and that my worth isn’t tied to my past but to God’s redeeming love.
After graduation, God opened doors I never could’ve imagined. I pursued my passion for cooking, started at the Marriott Marquis in Houston, and eventually returned to Open Door Mission as Executive Chef—leading in the very kitchen where my healing began.
Now, cooking is more than a job; it’s a ministry. Every meal I prepare reminds the men here that God can turn brokenness into beauty. I’m living proof that no one is beyond His reach.
“The Lord is my strength and my song; He has given me victory.” — Exodus 15:2

OUR DAUGHTERS’ HOUSE
HOUSTON, TX
Everyday Lessons of Hope
You might not think much about sewing a button or cooking a meal from pantry basics—but for the young women at Our Daughters’ House, these simple skills are life-changing.
Many of our residents grew up without role models to teach them everyday skills that build confidence and independence. Thanks to your support, they’re now learning the basics—and so much more.
Over the past year, our Daughters have learned how to change a tire, fix a leaky sink, cook family-style meals, build resumes, and prepare for job interviews. They’ve also practiced empathy, communication, and even creative crafting—because healing happens through joy, too.
But beyond the lessons, something deeper is happening. These moments create connection, belonging, and trust. Each class is a reminder that they are not forgotten—that they are capable, loved, and valued by God.
Your generosity makes this transformation possible. Because of you, our Daughters aren’t just learning practical skills—they’re learning to believe in themselves and in the God who is writing a new story for their lives.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for helping them discover strength, purpose, and hope for the future.

OUR DAUGHTERS’ HOUSE
HOUSTON, TX
Meet JACY
When Jacy came to Our Daughters’ House, life felt overwhelming. As an aged-out foster youth, she was pregnant with her second child and had just lost custody of her four-year-old son due to instability and lack of support. She needed a safe place to rebuild—and that’s exactly what she found.
During her time at Our Daughters’ House, Jacy worked hard to turn her life around. She secured a part-time job, saved money to buy her own car, and eventually reunited with her son after a year in CPS custody. She welcomed her second baby into a stable, nurturing home and graduated from the program with a renewed sense of purpose.
Jacy didn’t stop there. She began studying to become a paralegal while serving as a Resident Assistant at Our Daughters’ House—helping new residents settle in and offering encouragement to young women walking the same road she once traveled.
Her story is one of determination, grace, and second chances.
Because of your support, young mothers like Jacy are finding stability, confidence, and faith—and learning that their pasts don’t define their futures.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for helping transform broken beginnings into stories of hope.
COF LEON
MEXICO
Meet Zukeyli
My name is Zukeyli López, and I live in León, Guanajuato— part of what’s known as the “Circle of Silence,” a region where true biblical teaching is rare. For most of my life, I didn’t know God personally. That changed in 2021 when my father was hospitalized with severe heart problems.
He was waiting for surgery, and our family was terrified. We had never prayed before, but my brother and I cried out to God for a miracle. The very next day, a cardiologist scheduled my father’s surgery—and it was a complete success. His recovery was quick and nothing short of miraculous.
After that, my brother and I felt a deep need to seek God. We explored different religions, searching for truth, until a friend invited us to a Bible study led by Dennis and Mary Johnson. There, we began to truly understand who Jesus is and how to build a personal relationship with Him.
Today, my family and I follow Christ, and our lives have completely changed. I give God all the glory for restoring my father’s health and transforming our hearts.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for sending people who bring the message of salvation to places still waiting to hear it.

CHILDREN’S CENTER
NICARAGUA

Belonging to the Children’s Center has been a great blessing for my daughter, Martha. When she first started school, learning was a struggle. My husband and I never attended school ourselves, so we couldn’t help her with her studies. Everything changed when she joined the Children’s Center.
The program combines two simple but powerful things— nourishment and education. Every day, the children receive a warm meal, followed by tutoring and extra support with their classes. That rhythm of care gave Martha the strength and focus she needed to grow.
I’ve seen such a difference in her. She’s now in fifth grade, studying hard, and doing better than we ever imagined. I’m so thankful she’s had the chance to learn, because I never had that opportunity. My oldest son also attended the Center, and it helped him complete elementary school—he now works on a farm and continues studying on weekends.
I am deeply grateful—first to God, and then to Community of Faith—for the help you bring to our community. You not only feed our children, you feed their hope. Through your love, they’re learning, thriving, and building a future we once thought impossible.
KHARIS HOUSE
ZAMBIA
Meet CHARITY
Charity arrived at Kharis House as a young, pregnant teen, burdened by loss and uncertainty. Her father had died when she was young, and her mother and grandmother were too ill to care for her and her siblings. She came to Kharis House in need of help—but even more, in need of hope.
From her first days there, Charity experienced safety, love, and community. Through mentorship and gospelcentered care, fear began to give way to peace. Though she had grown up attending church, she had never known Jesus personally. That changed during a discipleship class led by the campus pastor, where she learned about eternal life and the heart of a Father who never leaves.
With courage and joy, Charity gave her life to Christ and was baptized soon after—a moment that marked the beginning of her transformation.
In the months since, six other young mothers at Kharis House have also chosen to be baptized, inspired by the same hope and freedom Charity found.
Today, these young women are growing in faith and purpose, discovering that their pasts do not define their futures. Please continue praying for Charity and the girls at Kharis House as they walk boldly into new life in Christ.

UK/USA MINISTRIES
UNITED KINGDOM
Meet James
My name is James. I grew up in a Christian home, but for years I doubted God’s existence. I wrestled with questions, even calling myself an atheist for a time. Still, something inside me wanted to believe.
In 2024, I prayed a simple prayer: “God, if You’re real, show me.” Not long after, a group of young people from Texas came to England through UKUSA Ministries. They were my age, yet the way they lived their faith—with joy, humility, and authenticity—was unlike anything I’d seen.
As I got to know them, my skepticism began to fade. Their kindness and conviction stirred something deep within me. When they left, I knew I wanted what they had—a real relationship with Jesus.
A year later, when the same team returned, I decided to get baptized— exactly one year after I first met them. That moment marked the beginning of my new life in Christ.
Now, I’m helping others find what I found. I attend church regularly, study Scripture, and share my story with other young people who are searching for truth.
Please pray for me and for my generation—that God would move in hearts across England just as He did in mine.

UK/USA MINISTRIES
UNITED KINGDOM
Meet TAYLOR
Growing up in a broken home with separated parents, Sunday mornings meant one thing—football. The pitch was my escape, the one place I felt in control. That changed when my mum met my stepdad, a kind man of faith who slowly introduced our family to church.
While my mum and siblings began attending, I stayed committed to football. Still, each Sunday, I’d see teenagers leaving the church—laughing, full of joy—and I couldn’t help thinking, whatever’s happening in there looks good.
One evening, I met Mike Taylor. He greeted me with a big smile, asked about my day, and handed me a cookie. It sounds small, but it was the first time I’d felt genuine kindness from a stranger. I didn’t know it then, but that moment would change my life.
That summer, I attended a UK/USA Ministries camp in Preston Park. The Americans weren’t great footballers, but their passion and joy were contagious. One leader, Spencer, spent the week investing in me—asking questions, encouraging me, and showing me what Jesus’s love looks like in action. When he prayed for me, I felt peace and joy for the first time.
The next summer, I was baptized in the North Sea at Saltburn. Through my teens, mentors kept pouring into me, teaching me not just to know about Jesus, but to follow Him with my whole life.
Now I serve as a student leader, discipling others the way I was once discipled. Our group has grown to over forty students—many from homes like mine—hungry to know Jesus. God is moving powerfully across England, and I’m honored to be part of it.
RESCUE PINK
INDIA
Meet SHANTHI
Shanthi joined Rescue Pink’s After-School Girls Program in 2019 and recently transitioned into their alumni program. She comes from a financially struggling family—her father, an auto-rickshaw driver battling alcoholism, could barely provide for his children. When the Rescue Pink team first met her, she lacked even basic necessities like daily milk.
That meeting changed her life. Rescue Pink enrolled her in the program, ensuring she received consistent nutrition, education, and mentorship. With stability and encouragement, Shanthi began to flourish—excelling in her studies, gaining confidence, and discovering her talents.
She earned her green belt in karate, learned sewing and computer skills, and even took music classes. This year, she completed her Intermediate education with an impressive score of 798 out of 1000—earning First Class with Distinction in her region. Now she’s preparing to study in the M.P.H.W. (Multi-Purpose Health Worker) program, pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.
Shanthi’s success has deeply moved her mother, who says Rescue Pink brought “light and purpose” to her daughter’s life. Her story is a powerful reminder that when opportunity meets compassion, transformation happens.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for helping give hope and a future to girls like Shanthi.

RESCUE PINK
INDIA
Meet MAHI
Mahi grew up in Rescue Pink’s After-School Girls Program, where she quickly stood out for her intelligence and determination. Even after graduating, the Rescue Pink team stayed in touch—checking in regularly and supporting her family through ongoing poverty.
Tragically, her father passed away, and the family’s financial struggles worsened. Her mother asked Mahi to leave school and help earn income to survive. When Rescue Pink learned what had happened, they immediately intervened. Staff visited her home, encouraged her mother to let Mahi continue her education, and introduced her to the Women’s Entrepreneurship Program.
There, Mahi learned how to start a small business and was gifted a sewing machine to launch her own tailoring service. With their guidance, she began earning income, saving for distance education, and helping her mother provide for the household.
Today, Mahi is studying from home, continuing her education, and running her sewing business with pride. Her mother—once uncertain about the future—is now filled with gratitude, saying, “That sewing machine changed everything. It gave Mahi a second chance.”
Mahi’s story is living proof that when faith, opportunity, and compassion come together, hope is restored.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for changing the future for girls like Mahi.
CHANGING DESTINY
SOUTH ASIA
At Changing Destiny, lives are being transformed every day as children from India’s red-light districts are given safety, education, and a new future in Christ.
One of this year’s proudest moments was the graduation of our first Grade 12 class. Among them was a young woman whose journey began in poverty and sickness—her mother once worked in one of Asia’s largest red-light districts, and she herself battled tuberculosis. Six years later, she stood as valedictorian, speaking with confidence about hope and purpose.
Another student, Niki, came to the school neglected and hungry after her mother, a commercial sex worker, could no longer care for her. Today, Niki lives safely on campus, thriving in her studies and surrounded by people who remind her daily that she is valued and loved.
And then there’s Veda, a third-grader whose mother was trafficked as a teen. Our outreach team met her family and offered Veda a place at the school—a refuge where she now studies, plays basketball, and learns about the God who set her free.
Each child at Changing Destiny is proof that when love and opportunity meet, the cycle of exploitation can be broken. Together, we are truly changing destiny.

CUP OF HOPE
BURUNDI
In recent months, conflict and violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo have forced thousands of families to flee their homes in search of safety. Over 70,000 refugees—many of them children—have crossed the border into neighboring Burundi, arriving with little more than the clothes on their backs.
Communities of Hope saw the need and responded quickly. Partnering with local leaders at the refugee camp on the outskirts of the capital city, they began planning a simple but powerful act of care: delivering fortified porridge so every child can receive at least one nutritious cup each day.
For children facing hunger, that single cup can mean the difference between weakness and survival, despair and energy to learn, play, and hope again.
As parents line up, they often whisper prayers of gratitude. “You are feeding our children when we cannot,” one mother said. “You are showing us that God still sees us.”
Feeding children is close to the heart of every parent—and close to the heart of Jesus, too.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for standing with us to bring nourishment, dignity, and hope to these families. Together, we are offering far more than food—we are offering a cup of hope.
FAMILIES IN CRISIS
BURUNDI
Not long ago, Nestor and Anna buried their son before his second birthday. Though their hearts ache, they still have four small children to care for—no easy task in their drought-stricken community.
Their son died of malnutrition, and the doctor warned that their two youngest were also severely undernourished. “Nothing grows here anymore,” Nestor said quietly. “The weather has changed, and I don’t understand it.” His wife added, “It feels like the earth is punishing us.”
Across northern Burundi, families face the same desperate reality— watching their children grow weaker each day as the land turns barren. The hardest part of life there, Nestor said, “is all the tiny coffins.”
That’s when Communities of Hope stepped in. With your support, they began distributing fortified porridge—one cup a day per child. It may seem small, but it’s saving lives. Within weeks, children started gaining weight, their energy returning, their laughter filling the air again.
Today, Nestor and Anna’s children are thriving—healthy, smiling, and full of life—because of this simple gift of nourishment and hope.
Thank you, Community of Faith, for bringing life back to families who once saw none. Together, we are feeding bodies, healing hearts, and saving lives.

community of faith
INDIA

Thanks to your generosity, new Communities of Faith are springing up across northern India—some in the most unlikely places. One church even began with a miracle.
The village headman had been facing a leg amputation after a biopsy revealed a serious condition. Each week, an elderly believer from a nearby Christian school traveled an hour to pray with him and his family. Slowly, his health began to improve. Then one day, he stood and declared, “My leg is well again!”
That healing sparked something powerful. The family began hosting prayer meetings in their home, and soon others came to worship. The headman’s son started leading songs, and a small church was born.
As word spread, families from neighboring villages began gathering to hear about Jesus. A young pastor and his wife moved in to shepherd the growing community, and before long, three new house churches had formed. Most of their members are under 25, and many have already been baptized—some in an inflatable pool!
Through your faithful giving, these believers now have hope, purpose, and spiritual family. God is moving across India—and together, we’re helping build communities that live out His Word every day.
MY REFUGE HOUSE
PHILIPPINES
Meet SAVANNAH
For seventeen years, My Refuge House has been a place of love, safety, and second chances for girls in the Philippines—thanks to partners like Community of Faith. Every day, staff walk alongside the girls, offering encouragement, laughter, and support as they heal from past trauma and build brighter futures.
Savannah, a bright and spirited 10-year-old, is one of those girls. She’s known for her joyful energy—always ready to cuddle the resident dogs or dive into a volleyball game with determination and heart. Through the stability and love she’s found at My Refuge House, Savannah is learning to dream again.
She often talks about wanting to support her family one day and believes that, with God’s help, she can make that dream come true. Surrounded by mentors and friends who cheer her on, she’s discovering confidence, purpose, and belonging.
As the community continues to grow, My Refuge House envisions even more—building a proper school where education can thrive and a chapel where faith and healing can deepen. Because of your support, Savannah and girls like her are finding not just refuge, but hope and a future filled with possibility.

MY REFUGE HOUSE
PHILIPPINES
Meet CHANNY
In the Philippines, cases of online sexual exploitation of children have surged in recent years, making the work of My Refuge House more vital than ever. This safe haven rescues, restores, and empowers girls who have survived unimaginable abuse—girls like Channy.
Years ago, Channy came to My Refuge House as a frightened teenager seeking safety and healing. Her journey since then has been nothing short of inspiring. With consistent support, counseling, and education, she began to rebuild her confidence and rediscover her worth in Christ.
From those early days of recovery to winning her legal case and completing her degree in Education, Channy has proven that hope can rise from even the darkest circumstances. In 2025, she achieved another incredible milestone—passing her professional licensure exam on her very first try.
Today, Channy is thriving as an ESL teacher, mentoring others and serving as a role model for younger girls at the refuge. Her life is a powerful reminder that restoration is possible when healing is paired with opportunity and faith. Thank you, Community of Faith, for helping make stories like Channy’s possible—one life restored at a time.

The Community of Faith family has always had a tradition of giving. Over the last 22 years, we’ve been privileged to build upon that tradition with you—bringing hope and new life to thousands of people here at home and around the world.
Today, we simply want to say thank you. We’ve never known a church more generous than you!
Your consistent generosity through the Best Gift Offering has made a tremendous impact this year. In 2025 alone, new Communities of Faith have been launched in central Mexico and remote regions of India. Hundreds of people have been baptized— both here in Cypress and across the globe. 2,000 hours of personal counseling were provided through the Community Counseling Center. More than 200 children learned daily about the love of Jesus at the COF Weekday Preschool. Over 600 children are receiving healthcare, education, and support from Nicaragua to the Philippines. You’ve brought hope and restoration to girls rescued from human trafficking—including some right here in Houston. And more than 200,000 children now receive daily fortified porridge, giving them life and a future.

The list could go on and on. Your gifts matter. Your prayers matter. You are making a lasting difference for the Kingdom of God.
With gratitude,
