Co-Co-B Design and Zero21 Brands
Co-Co-B Design and Sourcing is a UK owned, full-service footwear design, sourcing and manufacturing company.
We are the chosen partner for some of the UK’s premium brands and known for our expert product development.
We are also regarded as a ‘safe pair of hands’ with our high manufacturing standards through to our logistical capabilities.
Since 2012, Co-Co-B has its operational headquarters in Dongguan, China but also has a team based in Manchester UK. Zero21 Brands is our vertically integrated design-to-sales company which holds a number of licences for brands in UK and Europe.
We have a design, e-commerce and marketing team in Manchester, UK which works in tandem with our production and operations team in China.
OUR SERVICES
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Our own design team can produce designs to be signed-off by the brand. Alternatively, we pride ourselves on our ability to interpret our customer ’s designs down to the smallest detail and contour. We complete product development rapidly enabling our brands to effectively react to market trends.
Every new design is developed from proto to final pre-production samples within our in-house sampling facility in Dongguan.
TECHNICAL EXPERISE
We have excellent technical capabilities and are, competently, able to develop and produce any construction and technique currently available. Whether the brand has its own technical department, or not, we are able to liaise with their team on every step and every detail of the product development.
For moulded sole constructions, we start with technical blue prints and then use a form of 3D printed, rapid prototyping to produce the first models. Once the brand is satisfied with the proportions and interpretation of the design, we will then produce a silicone version of the model, which can be assembled with the prototype uppers and sent to the customer for review and fitting comments before any sample moulds are opened.
FLEXIBLE SERVICE
Our preferred production minimums are 300+ pairs, per colour, and 1,000+ pairs, per style.
In the longer term we aim to help our customers achieve much larger quantities, allows more efficient use of manufacturing resources and production processes. That said, we understand that a brand needs time to establish new product with their consumers and so we ensure that we can produce even the smallest quantity.
MANUFACTURING
So we can ensure total control of our customer ’s production, we have established long-term relationships with a network of factories, all within a 5 mile radius of our Dongguan HQ, this enables our production team to visit each factory, on a daily basis, making sure all production is being made to the correct standard.
We are also one of very few companies to employ ‘pair-by-pair ’, end of line, checking on all of our production.
Aside from our skilled pattern cutters, technicians and production managers, we currently
employ six QC’s who are stationed at each factory and whose authority supersedes the factories own QCs. Their sole responsibility is to be the final pair of eyes checking over the footwear before passes onto the packing line.
Once the order is complete, a final inspection is carried out by our production managers and at least two days before the shoes are due to ex-factory.
SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS
We have the capabilities to offer our customers either FOB or DDP shipping to UK, Europe, Asia and North America.
We are able to pre-pack the orders to our customer ’s requirements including packing the individual orders with their retailers required labelling.
As we are shipping regular containers, to each destination, we are able to consolidate smaller volumes into containers with other customer ’s product, eliminating the need to LCL shipments.
We have a company set-up in The Netherlands for importing into the EU.
We have our import license for the USA.
We are also able to deliver to destinations in Asia and the Middle East through our Hong Kong subsidiary.
EXAMPLES
Below are examples of what we’ve recently helped two of our customers achieve : Mallet had been struggling with production in Europe, Tommy the founder, engaged Co-Co-B to take over all production and ensure their fast growing volumes could be produced and delivered, on a very strict lead-time while, at the same time, Mallet ’s premium quality was maintained.
Co-Co-B developed all product and helped Mallet scale their volume from 24,000 units per year to 300,000 pairs per year within 3 years with Mallet becoming a best selling brand in Harrods, Selfridges and Flannels. Also expanding into Europe and North America in stores such as De Bijenkorf and Saks.
Co-Co-B has been a key partner to premium UK retail brand Kurt Geiger, for 10 years, producing ninety percent of their top-tier collection; ‘Kurt Geiger London’ In 2019, Kurt Geiger entered the North American market, with an initial order of less than 2,000 pairs across stores such Bloomingdales. Now in 2024, we delivered over 200,000 pairs directly from China to their retailers across the US.

In the days before social media, Acupuncture wa s k nown f or t heir s t ree t - s avvy guerrilla marketing campaigns and a celebrity following, including Kate Moss, Madonna, Robbie Williams, Jude Law.

2000
As Evisu reached the height of its popularity, through their denim, Andy was approached to develop and produce their first ever footwear collection.
2008
BRANDON HIGH TOP
All saints, pioneering the ‘vintage washed out’ look were selling 1,500 pairs a week of their military boots, made in Portugal.
Andy was approached to develop a premium ‘washed ’ sneaker bu t which could also b e produced in volume.
Working closely with their team, produced a range, including the Brandon High Top.

A premium, full leather, high top sneaker that was washed and distressed. It’s now regarded as an iconic sneaker and a breakthrough style

CEO and FOUNDERS TIME LINE HIGHLIGHTS
2018-2025
TV celebrity, Tommy Mallet launched his own sneaker brand which quickly gained popularity. Struggling with production in Europe, Tommy engaged Co-Co- B t o t ake over and en s ure future volumes could be delivered while premium quality was maintained.
Co-Co- B de v eloped all produ ct and sc aled volume from 30,000 per year to 210,000 per year within 3 years. Becoming a best selling brand in Harrods, Selfridges and Flannels. Also expanding into Europe and North America in stores such as Saks.

2019-2025
Relaunch of Ed Hardy in Europe.
As the world came out of Covid, Zero21 Brands ha s rees t abli s hed E d Hard y, wi t hin t he U K and Europe, as one of the must have brands to a new Gen-Z consumer.
