Biographies Jessica Alba She is a Fine Arts major at Cochise College. She is an aspiring writer. She loves reading books and immersing herself in fun stories. She draws every day of her life because she enjoys expressing herself through her drawings. Laila Avery She is a dually-enrolled high school and Cochise College student with a love for painting and creating new things. Over the past year, she’s been working hard on developing her art skills, networking, and establishing her own art business. Vicki Barth Vicki first tried her hand at writing short stories in 2017 at the urging of her friend, Dona Schell. She lives in Bisbee where she also enjoys oil painting and mosaic creations. Fernando Bocanegra He was born and raised in Sierra Vista; however, his family is Puerto Rican, so they visit the island every once in a while. They end up going to San Juan, the capital, every time they visit, which gave him a chance to take a picture like “Calle Fortaleza.”
2021 Cochise Community Creative Writing Celebration The Cochise Community Creative Writing Celebration brings published writers in several genres, such as poetry, novels, creative nonfiction, juvenile fiction, and screenwriting, to present hands-on workshops to aspiring writers from the community. Celebration participants are also invited to enter a writing contest in three categories: poetry, short story (fiction) and memoir (nonfiction). Cash prizes will be awarded. Want more information? Rotceh Moncerrath Buelna She is a business major at Cochise College who takes pictures when she believes it is the perfect moment. She hopes to capture images which enhance one’s image, rather than changing it. Aleyda Daivi Canez She is a college student who is nineteen years old and living in Douglas, Arizona. María Lizárraga del Castillo She is a student at Cochise College who lives in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. She decided to begin to study photography because she loved to take photos to keep a record of every great moment that she lives.
