It’s been an amazing 12 months for us here at Cobbitty Equine Farm. Our Stallions progeny are firing on all cylinders, KING OF SWING won his third consecutive Miracle Mile - entering the record books, and our racing team finished on top again, topping off a great season.
★ McWICKED, who was recently inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall Of Fame. As our support domestically and internationally continues to grow, we proudly welcome the all conquering HUNTSVILLE to our line up. Although his semen will be available frozen, the support he has received has been overwhelming and we thank everyone for their expressions of interest and support.
We also welcome the inclusion of our second Stallion base at Stockleigh, Queensland. Which gives our Breeders the opportunity to be involved in the lucrative QBred bonus scheme. BLING IT ON will be our Pacing Stallion and USED TO ME will fly the Trotters flag in Queensland this season. We thought as we are expanding domestically, we may as well expand internationally, and are proud to be offering chilled semen to New Zealand Breeders for the first time this season as well. Actually, we must say probably our most exciting announcement yet, is the establishment of the COBBITTY EQINE CLASSIC 2YO RACE SERIES to be conducted at Club Menangle in 2026. We began discussions last year about how we can give back to those who support us here at Cobbitty Equine Farm and we thought what better way than to conduct our own race series where our Stallions progeny have the opportunity to win over $200,000 in prizemoney. We have also extended this opportunity to our Trotting Stallions and together with Haras des Trotteurs have announced a HARAS DES TROTTEURS & COBBITTY EQUINE CLASSIC 2YO RACE SERIES to be conducted on the same day as our Pacers final, with prizemoney over $150,000 up for grabs with both a Colts and Geldings and a Fillies division as well. Harness Racings pin up boy KING OF SWING makes his debut this season joining our Stallion line up as well. As many breeders are saying, if his foals look or run half like himself they will certainly be stars! His support has too been astonishing and we are very proud to be able to offer him to our Breeders this season. As mentioned, ULTIMATE MACHETE will be standing with Cobbitty Equine Farm this year and we look forward to establishing a great partnership with Alabar Farms and Nevele R Stud into the future. The Cobbitty Equine Classic will be a two-year-old race series, with heats conducted on a Tuesday and then a $100,000 Colts & Geldings Final and a $100,000 Fillies Final to follow.
The eight Stallions include : Bling It On, Capt Midnight, For A Reason, Huntsville, Jilliby Kung Fu, King Of Swing, McWicked and Ultimate Machete.
The Cobbitty Equine Classic is restricted to horses that are Sired by a Cobbitty Equine Farm Pacing Stallion. This includes all Mares served in Australia and New Zealand their foals will be eligible to compete in this two-year-old race series.
With the great incentive of the new BREED NSW scheme and now the Cobbitty Equine Classic, it is a massive bonus to breed your mare to one of the eight Pacing Stallions standing at Cobbitty Equine Farm. It also has the added incentive if you are breeding to sell in the current competitive yearling market, being eligible for an $100,000 race is only adding more value to your yearling.
We are very exciting to see some of the young talent produced in the coming years from our Stallions and what a better way to give back to the breeders, owners and trainers that support us with prizemoney being allocated to both the breeder and the owner.
