history
Nestled on the boardwalk at Quietwater Beach is a one-of-a-kind event venue with incredible beach views. Formerly Whiskey Joe’s, the restaurant is re-branding to a new concept, The Wharf, that reflects the culture and community of Pensacola as a fresh seafood restaurant. With the rebranding, they are working on some really exciting new menus that include brunch— something that they have never offered before!
Although in a transitional period, the The Wharf events team is excited to provide couples with an amazing venue and experience, as well as a catering menu that fits all budgets.
the vibe what we love
The venue boasts a serene, second-level, event space that offers room for up to 300 attendees. The space includes a deck that offers breathtaking sunset views. The wood accents, high vaulted ceilings, and stained glass chandelier offer an elevated and luxurious atmosphere. The Beach Pavilion is an incredibly special ceremony or reception site due to it providing unparalleled waterfront views, a beautifully covered space, an accessible pathway, and the ability to seat up to 100 guests.
BY ALYSSA GRYB
Can we talk about the versatility of this space? With a large indoor venue, a stunning deck, and a waterfront pavilion, you can personalize your event to reflect exactly what you dreamed of for your wedding ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, or bridal shower!
All of the event spaces are truly spectacular and we recommend anyone who is looking to host a beachfront wedding to visit for a tour!
Imagine your day at the beach...
When we think of paradise, we often think of tropical islands lush with magical foresty. The gorgeous Emerald Coast exudes this relaxing, ethereal energy, and our team was inspired to bring tropical elements to our white sand beaches.
The Henderson Beach Resort is located on the sugar white sand in Destin, FL, with multiple locations for your perfect wedding day. After the big day, you and your guests can stay on-site to experience the incredible hospitality the resort is known for!
Emelly & Nathan, our cover couple, met in college, connecting through their shared passion of empowering others and advocating for the community. “Both of us balance each other. Nathan represents the sun. He is the light that brings calm towards everyone,” Emelly writes. “He will say I represent the moon because even though it’s dark, I bring the light that shines through the darkness as a guided path. I cannot picture my life without my other half. I look forward to seeing the growth of our relationship that will blossom into our marriage.”
The stunning tablescape and florals were provided by Forget Me Knot and Emerald Coast Florals. Forget Me Knot set the stage with their natural wood table, champagne flutes, velvet bow napkins, and elegant flatware. Using our beautiful seaside as the inspiration, Emerald Coast Florals used native plants and flowers to complete this enchanting atmosphere.
Madison and Zach Higgins are a photography and videography duo on the Gulf Coast and beyond. Madison shared her eye and her talent for this shoot while making Nathan and Emelly feel at ease.
Brittany, owner of Destin Mobile Beauty Box, perfected Emelly’s hair and make up. Her hair was styled in a soft, romantic updo and her dewy makeup was natural with a pop of eyeliner and a pink lip to enhance her natural beauty.
The Costa and Heitz Family Condo was the perfect space for our Bride and Groom to relax and get ready. From the marble to the furnishings the space is luxurious and elegant. The condo was graciously prepared with a delicious spread of hors d’oeuvres from the Henderson catering team, made complete with a mimosa bar!
Nathan and Emelly were the epitome of a timeless pair in Randall’s Formal Wear and Margaret Ellen Bridal. Nathan looked handsome in his black tuxedo and Emelly was radiant in a strapless, slitted gown. Each ensemble was made complete with stunning florals from Emerald Coast Florals. Nathan wore the nontraditional look of a full lapel boutonniere and Emelly held a bouquet of natural florals wrapped with black flowing ribbon.
Just Think Cake prepared an elegant, four- tiered fondant cake with complementary florals, creating a sleek centerpiece for our shoot. The custom printed macarons included the couple’s name and our fun, faux wedding date.
This stunning cover shoot would not be possible without the expertise and assistance of each wedding professional involved. We couldn’t be more grateful that these professionals lended their talents to make our vision come to life!

KARA CEDERQUIST-GREEN
In November 2021, Nicholas Richard Green asked me to marry him on a mountain in Colorado, and I knew all my stars were aligned. It’s not everyday a word that embodies your entire career becomes your last name. Being eco-friendly has always been something I am passionate about. In college, I learned about destination management, and I was hooked! For the last decade, I have zeroed in on sustainable tourism. I wanted to have an eco-friendly wedding, and I wanted to share the importance of sustainability with my wedding team. Below are a few tips for the bride seeking out environmentally-friendly wedding solutions!
To start, we had simple save-the-dates used from recycled paper, and we included the option to RSVP online!
The main efforts behind an ecofriendly wedding are largely dependent on your wedding team. When you contact potential wedding vendors, ask them about their green practices. Building your wedding team is like pulling together a group of friends— everything is easier when you share the same values! So be transparent!
Flowers are undoubtedly one of the most stunning ways to dress up your venue. There are many ways to get the most out of your floral arrangements. We saved the florals from my bridal party in July to repurpose for our wedding in October. The florals were arranged as table decorations, placed in painted glass jars of all shapes and sizes. My friends were eager to donate jars and that was so exciting to me!
For the ceremony bouquets, we hired our friend and florist, Chrissy Florals. Chrissy used in-season and dried elements that matched our reused floral decor. All my bridesmaids took their bouquets home, and my bouquet was given to my parents. Through this process, we were able to minimize water usage, energy to refrigerate, and shipping waste.
We decided to rent amber colored glasses, setting one at each table. Guests used these for their drinks at a self-serve station to reduce washing/drying multiple glasses for each person. We set out bamboo straws at the bars, eliminating plastic straws entirely!
As someone who loves nature, I can’t think of anything worse than being showered in a cloud of plastic. Plastic confetti is quite simply littering, but there are lots of biodegradable confetti options out there. For our exit, we chose white freeze-dried petals that I put inside cones made of a single page of my favorite book, the Alchemist. I found a copy of the book at my local library’s sale for $1!
We also had the ceremony and the reception in the same place to reduce carbon emissions. Supposey Wedding Venue, located in Pensacola, Florida, is an incredibly unique, historic space. Initially we fell in love with the venue because of its natural beauty and built-in character. I knew I could significantly reduce the amount of decor and lighting (aka waste and cost) by letting the venue and its surrounding greenery do the work. Using natural light to your advantage guarantees that your photos will be fabulous!
Save you and your groomsmen money and help the planet by renting a tux. We used our family friend’s business, Gents Formal Wear in Pensacola. For the bridesmaid dresses, I allowed my bridesmaids to choose a different style and color of their choosing (with my approval of course). They are able to wear it again for years to come!
I believe over time wedding industry vendors will get more inquiries from brides on reducing waste for their special day. Happy Planning!
After graduating from one of the top 5 hospitality management programs in the world, Kara lived, worked, and traveled to over 50 countries around the globe— all the while learning about sustainable tourism. Fashion is experiencing a regency era in the 21st century, and we are LOVING it!
The Bridal Loft celebrated body positivity, hosting the EveryBody EveryBride runway show at Culinary Productions Venue. The bridal shop launched the sizeinclusive collection, a partnership with designer Stella York to provide a vast selection of gowns for EVERY bride! (1) Stella York’s full glitter gown beamed on the lit-up runway from its draped sweetheart neckline to its fitted silhouette. (2) Channeling princess chic, the pearl ballgown stole the show with it’s trendy puffy sleeves and beautifully draped corset. (3) Beautiful in its simplicity, the soft satin Stella York gown glided gracefully down the runway. “The energy and excitement was incredible,” Bridal Loft owner, Alyssa, remarked.
“The models were beaming, their confidence and attitudes brought the collection to life!” Brides can explore the EveryBody EveryBride collection at The Bridal Loft by booking an appointment at pensacolabridalloft.com

While sticking to tradition with the regency period’s unique design and full skirts, the current styles have taken grandeur to new heights. The Bridal Loft’s Bridgerton Wedding exclusive collection is inspired by the Bridgerton Netflix series and designed by costume designer Lyn Paolo. (4) Gown Harriet radiates romance with soft puffed sleeves, regal sequined lace, and a cathedral length train. (5) Color in bridal is a modern show stopper. Gown Eleanor is available in traditional ivory but can also brave tradition in soft mauve. The silky mikado, corset structure, and a full-lined skirting is the definition of royal attire.
Art of Fashion is a fun-filled fashion show event in Pensacola, FL, benefitting Covenant Care patients and families. The 18th Annual Art of Fashion’s theme was Parisian Escape, and this year’s fashionista sponsors went above and beyond très chic! Featured boutiques included S&K Boutique, Sobo Boutique, Randall’s Formal Wear, The Bridal Loft, Jen’s Designer Deals, Indigeaux Denim Bar & Boutique, and more! (6) The juxtapostion of classic/clean in the front with a playful, oversized bow in the back is the epitome of current bridal fashion. The Billeigh Bow Dress from Sobo Boutique can be used for a bridal shower, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner, or elopement! (7) Randall’s Formal Wear showed the unique details that are appearing in tuxe/suit fashion with Ike Behar’s White Waverly, black vest, teardrop bow tie, and Euro slim pants. The White Waverly is a perfect “James Bond” formal look and is always a classic paired with black pants!

This issue’s power couple, Brent and Angela, have been together for decades. They moved to Pensacola almost 20 years ago when Brent was recruited to Cat Country’s morning show. The couple spends their time supporting breast cancer awareness, vacationing at Lake Martin, and being with their three children and grandchildren.
BRENT: We met in a bar in San Diego, that’s no joke. The Bitter End was the name of the bar. I got her number on an O’Doul’s napkin and I called her the next day.
ANGELA: There is actually more to the story than that, but in a nutshell, yes. We met on Good Friday. It was a multilevel facility and we were in the basement where the dance floor was. We were doing our own thing, and we happened to bump into each other. I looked up because he’s 6’5”, and I said “you have the most beautiful brown eyes I’ve ever seen.”
B: And I said, “you’ve got nice teeth.”
A: Bless his heart. Isn’t that hilarious? That has to be the worst line ever.
B: Yeah, but you have beautiful teeth. It’s very important....Actually that night on the way out the bar, my buddy said “wouldn’t it be something if that was the girl you were gonna marry?” And I laughed and said “yeah that would!” He showed up when we got married and went “well, I’ll be danged!”
Q: WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION OF EACH OTHER?
ANGELA: He was very sweet. He was very kind. Which fortunately has stood the test of time.
BRENT: I thought she was hot! So hot like this is so out of my punting coverage, but I am going to try my best. Cher was on. I went in for the kiss and she came back. We were making out on the dance floor. It was so great!
Q: WHEN AND HOW DID YOU PROPOSE?
BRENT: 8 months in on New Year’s Eve. It was raining.
ANGELA: And it doesn’t rain often in San Diego. It was kind of magical.
B: I got down on one knee on the front stoop and was like “let’s do this!” She obviously said yes, and then we got married 16 months later, also on the one day it rained so much. There was so much rain.
A: A crazy day! But you’ll see in the photos, it lightened up. It ended up being a beautiful day.
Q: IF YOU COULD GIVE YOUR MARRIAGE A SLOG AN, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
BRENT: I think that our slogan is probably persevere above all. ANGELA: It is…nicely done. I like it! *fist bumps Brent*
Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL/ COASTAL DATE NIGHT SPOT?
BRENT & ANGELA: Jackson’s! (Jackson’s Steakhouse)
INTERVIEWER: What do you like to get?
B: Usually the blueberry muddle martini, which I’m probably not calling it right. There’s something about the steak with lump crab on it. It’s amazing. And usually we’ll get bacon wrap scallops—
A lot of times, we will just let them tell us what’s good at the time, and they’re never wrong. But, we always feel that’s kind of our spot. Celebrating not only the big things, but the little things. Last time we were there was in the summer for…?
My mom and dad’s 52nd wedding anniversary and my dad’s 80th
ANGELA: He really really wants to go to Chile and ski. So that would be something the two of us… we have to do it soon because we’re aging. We have just really focused all of these years while raising kids to share experiences with them. We really love traveling as a squad. There’s nothing like having all the kiddos with you and making all those memories.
BRENT: You said you want to go to Greece, so that’s also on my bucket list.
ANGELA: Hey, thank you for listening. I’d forgotten about that but yes I do want to... Collectively, we talk often about our goal to have the home paid off. We’ve been aggressively working on a plan to have that done. So that’s going to be a huge celebration.
BRENT: Early in our marriage, we went through a lot of debt. I had a business problem that ended up going south. We ultimately took a Dave Ramsey class at our church and ended up teaching that class for 10 years. So that helped us establish some great financial goals together. We worked the weeks and spent eight years backing out of a problem. It was a lot, but if you’re willing to work together on it, there’s no doubt about it.
WHAT IS YOUR NUMBER ONE TIP FOR A SUCCESSFUL AND LOVING MARRIAGE?
BRENT & ANGELA: Take walks. *laughter*
A: We walk every evening. We have two dogs, so it’s just part of our routine. We started it so many years ago. It used to be after family dinner. The kids would get their bikes, and we would do that mile. I do think that it’s turned into our therapy. It’s how we decompress. It’s how we let the day go. It’s how we share thoughts and dreams and frustrations.
B: It’s where we talk about all the things that we’ve got to work through. I think it’s about intentionality too. There’s hard conversations that can be had if you trust each other. There’s got to be a level of respect even when you’re frustrated with each other. It’s too easy to let a cross-word become malicious intent, and then you have to work your way back around that.
Q: CAN YOU DESCRIBE
BRENT: Breast cancer.
ANGELA: It’s something we never saw coming. Although we didn’t really discuss it, we were immediately so together and on the same page. It was just hand-in-hand, “here we go”. For me, I felt so much respect because of his care, time, and attention. I obviously went through some really awful stuff, but he was 100% there with me. He never missed an appointment. I had a couple of things go really bad, and he had to get really involved with my care. I know it wasn’t easy, and some of it was really icky. I know he had a really hard time seeing me and not being able to take that away.
BRENT: It was obviously a surprise. For the radio station, we had a promotion every October for making strides against breast cancer. She was getting a mammogram every year around that time. We went from zero to “oh my gosh, you need to come back in.” I have a friend, Jeff, who I’d met a year before, and he’d also went through breast cancer with his wife. He said, ‘If you look for it, you’re gonna find God in the storm, and you’re gonna find your blessings in the storm.’ He was right. It brought us together. I did whatever she needed and became an advocate for her care. It’s a very maturing part of a relationship. You start dealing with health concerns and decisions you have to properly make, and suddenly you become grown adults together. Certainly, I’ve never been prouder of somebody who’s a wonderful advocate and a light to other women getting the same news. Angela is an incredibly strong person in doing that and that’s amazing.
BRENT: A lake house. The lake house is really a metaphor but still true. We love Lake Martin, and it’s a trip we’ve done for 13 years at the end of the summer. Our goal is to have a place at the lake where we can just go.
ANGELA: I love where we are right now. Our kids and everybody’s just doing so well. Being able to watch them, be their biggest cheerleaders, and see their successes, not only in their careers but in their marriages. This grandparent stage is the best thing ever. We like being called Gigi and Pops.
BRENT: She’s worked really hard on the Gigi and Pops thing. We have printed stuff. If this kid calls us anything other than Gigi and Pops… I think that having kids who are successful, I’ve never been prouder.

The old adage that the best marriages are built from the strongest friendships is true. Heidi owns an award winning salon in Gulf Breeze and had come highly recommended to me when I (Jessica) was looking to change hair stylists. The minute I sat down for my consultation, I felt at home. Heidi walked over and introduced herself to me like she does with all first time clients. Before I (Jessica) left, Heidi had told me her sister was moving to Gulf Breeze the following week and gave me her number to meet up with them. We struck up an immediate friendship within days of her giving me her number and quickly transformed into best friends. She thought she was going to help her sister become good friends with me, but it was Heidi and I that really hit it off. Our circles became one another’s and a few times a week we were out watching a Saints game or meeting for “Supper Club” with our favorite people. After a few months we both started realizing our connection was more than just friendship, there was a chemistry that became undeniable. One night while out with some friends, we ended up kissing and sparks flew like a downed power line in a CAT 5 hurricane! We slowly stepped into dating and then into a relationship together. We took our time to be intentional about making big decisions like moving in together and buying a home with one another. I knew from the beginning that my life was over as I knew it. She consumed me and all that I could see was her when I thought about the future. On a trip home to Denver about 3 1/2 years, I walked out of the jeweler that my family had used all my life with a beautiful diamond set in a simple platinum band. I flew home with a gorgeous ring in my bag but no idea how to ask her to marry me. I was okay with that though, I wasn’t in a rush and was willing to wait for the absolute right moment. I pulled the ring out a few times a month to just stare at it though. The meaning it held and the story it would one day tell was beautiful to me.
About a year later we were at Brandi Carlile’s Mothership Weekend festival and the Saturday night headliner was Sara Bareillis. Our song has always been “I Choose You” by Sara Bareillis so I thought before we packed up for the weekend, “I’m going to bring the ring. If Sara plays our song, that’s my sign.” Lo and behold, she played it right in front of us. After I caught my breath and calmed my nerves, I reached into my pocket and knelt down to ask her for forever. I used the last verse of “I Choose You” to close out my vows, and I even surprised her by jumping onto a chair and singing those lines to her during our first dance. Our love story came full circle as we shared that moment together. The rest, as they say, will be history!

We, based in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, about 20 miles from our wedding destination, live a true water-based lifestyle on a bayou. I am an at-sea fish biologist for the State of Florida, working on charter fishing boats aiding marine fisheries research. Dalton, a first mate on a sportfishing boat, participates in many billfish fishing tournaments in the Gulf of Mexico and owns his own custom fishing rod company, “Sarverods.” We both attended Navarre High School in Navarre, Florida, where our paths first crossed through mutual friends. Despite initially wanting to keep things platonic, I couldn’t resist Dalton’s persistence. After seven years together, our bond grew stronger as we supported each other through various life changes. Dalton’s grand romantic gesture of driving through a hurricane to return home from North Carolina, after deciding a week into school that he didn’t want to be apart from me, showcases our deep commitment.
The proposal, a weekend before my college graduation, took place during a sunset photo session at Bean Point beach in Anna Maria Island, Florida. Dalton proposed with a beautiful green diamond, symbolizing our love for nature. We tied the knot at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort’s Beach Club on September 10, 2024, in a celebration that perfectly encapsulated our love story and shared passion for the water. The venue’s pristine sandy shores, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico created a serene and picturesque atmosphere. Our love for the water was seamlessly integrated into their special day, making the Beach Club’s beautiful views and tranquil setting the perfect choice. Our journey together, from high school friends to lifelong partners, is a testament to their enduring love and commitment.

We first met in North Carolina in 2015 while Toni was stationed on MCAS New River and Brandy was in school. What started out as friendship blossomed into something more in 2016. The next few years that followed were filled with graduations, deployments, and moves up and down the east coast. During December of 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Toni proposed at home during our Christmas break in Philadelphia, PA, by placing the ring on a Christmas tree branch as if it were an ornament. Two years later, we moved to Florida and started planning from over a thousand miles away! Toni is a lover of all things historic, so we planned a traditional wedding with grand venues full of rich history. We opted to host our nuptials at the historic Hope Lodge Mansion, where we had draped aisles, floral arches, and a live violinist. Fun Fact: this is where George Washington and his army stayed during the battle of Georgetown! Our reception was held at the regal Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, PA. We wanted our special day to be very intimate, so we kept our guest list under 50 and invited only our closest friends and family. We hired one of our best friends as the photographer and the Maid of Honor created our custom balloon artistry! We incorporated fun personal touches to our day, like using the bus for our favorite NFL team, The Philadelphia Eagles, as transportation for our bridal party and placing our own family photos around the estate. We also curated custom cocktails named after our two german shepherds, Rory and Lavender. Our day had a subtle Bridgerton theme and was full of whimsical florals, 60s love songs, Italian traditions, and a ton of champagne and cannolis. Toni wore her traditional Marine Corps dress blues and Brandy wore a very coquette, Bespoke Allure Bridal with custom boning and sleeving. Our day was truly magical, and we wouldn’t change a thing! We are currently stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola, but we will soon be heading out on our next adventure to Oahu, Hawaii!

Every little girl dreams about her dream wedding and dream guy. Little did I know I would get both! We had a mutual friend on Instagram and his profile popped up as people I should follow. So I started following him, and I thought he was really cute, but I didn’t think he would be interested in me. Later that night I got a friend request from him, and I was so excited about that. I posted a note on Instagram that said “I don’t regret many things in life but I regret buying this HP printer.” He replied to it, saying that it took him over a year to setup WiFi to his scanner and that he was technologically challenged. I never thought when I first posted that, it would bring me my best friend. We’ve talked every single day since then, and we went on our first date a week and half later! Our first date was perfect, we talked the entire night. We played putt putt, then had dinner at Longhorn and then we rode around town just talking and learning about each other. A week later we had our second date, and we had our first kiss at a waterfall. He has always been so supportive, caring and he always wants to help me! He’s my Prince Charming! A year later from our first date on February 4th, 2024, Matthew took me to a waterfall that neither of us had been too, and he proposed! I knew I wanted the last 3 digits of our wedding date to be 224, which means today, tomorrow and forever. So we picked April 22nd of 2024. I wanted my dream wedding to be small and stress free! We rented a beach house and we stayed there for the wedding weekend. The only guests that attended were my parents, my sister and her husband, and Matt’s parents. Everything I had envisioned came to life, and every detail was just perfect, right down to the baby’s breath flowers in my hair. We picked to write our own vows and that just made the day even more special! There’s no one else I could imagine doing life with. A week and half after we got married my granddad passed away. That was one of the hardest things I’ve had to go through, I’m so thankful that he was able to see our wedding pictures right before he passed and that means so much to me! Matthew was so supportive during that and got me through it!

Congratulations on your engagement– let the dress shopping begin! It’s never too early to start searching for the ONE. Right now, new gown orders typically take 5-8 months to arrive, so starting early ensures you’ll have plenty of time for fittings and alterations. For tighter timelines, sample gowns off the rack are a fabulous option, offering quick availability without sacrificing quality and experience. We recommend starting alterations 2-3 months before your wedding to achieve a flawless fit! Your dream dress is waiting for you– let us help you find it!
When shopping for your wedding dress, bring the people whose opinions you trust most– those who love and support you unconditionally. While it’s tempting to make it a big event, it doesn’t have to be! Save the big celebrations for other moments in your engagement. Instead, choose a small group who will focus on you and your vision. And don’t forget, dads are welcome too–they can be wonderfully supportive and excited!
In-person wedding dress shopping is a once-in-a-lifetime experience you’ll treasure forever. Unlike online shopping, you can guarantee the quality of the gown and enjoy a personalized, catered experience tailored to your style and vision. Experienced stylists guide you every step of the way, ensuring a perfect fit and stress-free process. Plus, you’ll have a reliable shop to address any issues and make your journey to the aisle as seamless as possible.
When you find the dress, don’t hold back– say yes! This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment filled with excitement, joy, and magic. Trust your instincts and heart and let yourself live in the thrill of falling in love with your gown. It’s not just about the dress; it’s about celebrating you and the journey to your big day. Capture that unforgettable moment and make it yours–you deserve every bit of the sparkle and celebration!

Your wedding day is a long-anticipated event, one you’ve likely dreamed about since childhood. It’s a day full of love, excitement, and memories, but let’s be honest—you also want to feel and look your absolute best. Glowing skin is the ultimate accessory to your dress, and makes sure that you look great in every photo taken to capture the celebration. But – achieving that picture-perfect complexion takes time and dedication. Just like everything else in wedding planning, good skin doesn’t happen overnight. Think of it as your ultimate skin-care journey— and trust me, it’s worth every step! As a board-certified Physician Assistant and Master Injector, I’ve had the privilege of helping countless brides prepare their skin for their special day. In this guide, I’ll walk you through a six month beauty timeline designed to give you that flawless glow every bride dreams of. Whether you’re six months out or already feeling the final stretch, there’s something here to help you achieve radiant skin on your big day.
Let’s start at the six-month mark. I know it may feel like a long time away, but prepping your skin early is key to achieving longlasting results. This is the time to lay the foundation for smooth, healthy skin that will radiate when you walk down the aisle. First, let’s talk about microneedling. This treatment is a must for anyone looking to improve skin texture, minimize pores, and boost collagen production. I typically recommend a series of three microneedling sessions, spaced about one month apart. It works by creating tiny, controlled micro-injuries in the skin that stimulate your body’s natural healing process. In turn, your skin starts producing more collagen and elastin—two of the most important proteins for youthful, firm skin. Brides love
this treatment because over time, it leads to smoother, firmer, and more even-toned skin. And who doesn’t want that? While microneedling does wonders, it’s important to be patient. Collagen takes time to build, so starting early will give you time to do a series, giving you the best possible results by your wedding day. At this stage, you’ll also want to introduce medical-grade skincare into your routine. Unlike drugstore products, these are specifically formulated with higher concentrations of active ingredients, ensuring they penetrate deeper into the skin and provide noticeable results. I recommend starting with a cleanser, exfoliant, antioxidant serum (hello, Vitamin C!), and a high-quality moisturizer And of course, don’t forget sunscreen— protecting your skin from UV damage is critical for maintaining your glow.
Fast forward three months, and it’s time to start focusing on treatments that will give your skin a luminous, dewy glow—perfect for your big day. My go-to recommendation for brides at this stage is the Hydrafacial with dermaplaning. Hydrafacials are a favorite for a reason— they deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin all in one treatment. Plus, they’re gentle enough to do monthly leading up to your wedding. By combining Hydrafacials with dermaplaning (which removes dead skin and peach fuzz), you’ll ensure your skin is smooth and prepped for flawless makeup application. Trust me—your foundation will glide on like butter, and you’ll have that soft, airbrushed finish in all your wedding photos. If you’re considering Botox or dermal fillers to smooth out fine lines or enhance your facial features, this is the perfect time to schedule them. Botox typically takes a minimum of two weeks to fully settle in, and fillers need some time to reduce any swelling, so planning these treatments six weeks out ensures a natural, refreshed look without the rushed feeling.
At the one-month mark, your skin should be in great shape, but don’t let stress undo all your hard work! Stress is one of the biggest skin saboteurs. It can lead to breakouts, redness, and irritation—all things we definitely want to avoid right before your wedding.
The best thing you can do during this time is to pamper yourself. Stick to the treatments that are already working, like your Hydrafacials, but avoid trying anything new. Now isn’t the time for experimentation! Instead, indulge in self-care like a relaxing massage, meditation, or even a cozy evening at home with a good book. Keeping your stress levels in check will help prevent any unwanted flare-ups.
To keep your skin on track, here are some essential dos and don’ts for your wedding skincare prep:
• Do: Start treatments like microneedling, Botox, or fillers early enough to see full results by your wedding.
• Do: Stick to a consistent skincare routine using medical-grade products tailored to your skin type.
• Do: Hydrate! Drinking water is crucial for plump, glowing skin.
• Don’t: Introduce any new skincare products or treatments in the last month before your wedding.
• Don’t: Over-exfoliate or use harsh products that could irritate your skin.
• Don’t: Neglect your body! Remember, glowing skin isn’t just about your face. Exfoliate, moisturize, and hydrate your entire body so you’ll feel confident in your dress.
The day has finally arrived, and all eyes are on you! You’ve followed the timeline, prepped your skin, and now it’s time to enjoy the moment. To keep your skin hydrated and glowing, use a hydrating mist before makeup. Choose a lightweight, long-lasting foundation that won’t cake up, and keep blotting papers on hand to control shine throughout the day.
Oh, and one last thing—don’t forget to smile. There’s nothing more beautiful than a bride who feels confident, happy, and radiant from the inside out!
Your wedding day is one of the most special moments of your life, and you deserve to feel absolutely stunning. Beautiful skin is the result of thoughtful planning, so start early, stay consistent, and enjoy the pampering process! Whether you’re prepping with microneedling, indulging in Hydrafacials, or simply sticking to your skincare routine, every step of this journey will bring you closer to your dream bridal look. Most importantly, remember that this is your time to shine—embrace it! The effort you put into your skin will pay off, not only on your wedding day but for years to come. After all, beautiful skin is always in style!

When applying for a marriage license, both parties, age 18 and over, must be present.
A Florida marriage license allows a couple to get married anywhere in Florida, regardless of the county the license was purchased from. If you are getting married outside of Florida, obtain the marriage license from the state where you will be married. Every marriage license is issued by a county court judge or clerk of the circuit court under their hand and seal.
To obtain a marriage license you need: A valid federal or state government photo identification card is required and must provide the correct legal name, date of birth and signature of the applicant.
You do not need to be a resident of this county or the State of Florida to obtain a marriage license.
Marriage licenses are for use within the State of Florida for sixty (60) days from the effective date.
Prior to obtaining a marriage license, both parties must sign an affidavit indicating they have read the Family Law Handbook, which is available as an online resource through The Florida Bar Family Law Section in either English or Spanish. The Family Law Handbook is also available for viewing in the Clerk of Courts Marriage and One-Stop courthouse service locations.

The Best Way to Thank Your Wedding Team!
Calling all engaged people who are meeting vendors, securing packages, and loving the services you are receiving: have you left those vendors a review? Chances are, the online reviews or word of mouth recommendations you received impacted who you selected to be part of your wedding team.
Your vendors rely largely on the experiences and recommendations of their previous clients. Your unique team of wedding vendors thoroughly enjoy being part of your love story & adding to the wedding day magic.
And the best thank you that you could give is a review for future couples to see!
