Yankee Doodle Purple Lilac (Syringa vulgaris) One of the very best American-bred hybrids of the renowned Ohio lilac breeder, Father John Fiala, Yankee Doodle is among the deepest, darkest purples you can find. A profuse bloomer, it's hardy and to easy care for; a perfect choice for a windbreak or privacy hedge that also serves to attract pollinators. These sturdy shrubs are in a class by themselves. Prefers full sun and neutral to slightly alkaline soil. Tinkerbelle Lilac ( Syringa Tinkerbelle) Developed by Neal Holland of Sheyenne Gardens, this dwarf results from crosses between Syringa meyeri 'Palibin' and Syringa microphylla 'Superba'. Tinkerbelle® forms a superb small tree with a pleasing spicy fragrance and incredible wine-red flower buds that open in late spring. (CPBR #1204, C®)

Lilac– Lavendar/Pink (Syringa Minuet) Smaller than other lilac bushes, Minuet Lilac is stunning when planted as a flowering hedge, along a property border or as a backdrop for perennials. Growing 6-8 ft. tall with a 4-5 ft. spread, this deciduous shrub produces plenty of upright, light purple panicles. Blooming in late spring, the fragrant flowers attract pollinators. Tends to be deer resistant. Northern Gold Forsythia, Forsythia (‘Northern Gold’), is an upright growing shrub that produces its showy golden yellow flowers in early spring with spectacular flower color and bud hardiness. Northern Gold requires full sun, well drained soil and lots of room to grow. They can be used as a solitary structure or as a hedge. Meadowlark (M.L. Forsythia) In collaboration with the Agricultural Experiment Station of North Dakota, South Dakota and the Arnold Arboretum, this hybrid forsythia was developed for the Northern Plains. A shrub with superior flower-bud hardiness and showy, bright yellow spring flowers, its flower buds are hardy to -35°F. It will perform best in full sun. Russian Mountain Ash ( Sorbus Acuparia Rossica) A stunning pyramidal accent tree, featuring clusters of white flowers in spring followed by orange-red berries into winter; shiny gray bark, attractive compound leaves turn orange and red in fall; needs well drained soil, resistant to fireblight . Silver Maple ( acer x silver maple) Very fast-growing. Leaves are green on top and silvery-white on the underside, shimmering and dancing in the breeze. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions. Because of a vigorous root system, plant 10' or more from sidewalks, drives, foundations, and sewer lines. Grows to 50' to 80'with spread 2/3 of height to wider than the tree is tall. (zones 3-9) Freeman Maple (acer freeman maple) A hybrid of the Silver and Red Maples, the Celebration Maple is a deciduous accent tree that gets energetic growth from the Silver Maple side of its family. The excellent grower elevates at a stellar rate of 3 to 7 feet per year, making it a great choice for homeowners who can’t wait for a 'heightened' yard.
