Kids get to kick a cop and it’s perfectly okay Members of the Palmetto Bay Village Policing Unit engaged Howard Drive Elementary School students during a dramatic, hands-on “dynamic simulation,” on the final day of a unique, new self-defense and safety class called “rad/KIDS” (resisting aggression defensively). This first-time offering was so popular, additional classes have been scheduled for April and beyond.

Returning player registrations will be accepted from 9 to 11 a.m. and new player registrations will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration forms are available on the team’s website at <www.pbbroncos.com>.

Parents will need to bring with them a copy of the child’s birth certificate and a recent picture of each child to register them. The cost of registration is $140 for the first child and $110 for each additional child.

The Broncos have brought the village four Pop Warner football and one cheerleading national championships.

The Falls shopping center recently welcomed hundreds of food lovers to the second annual “Chefs Cook it up for Kids.” This culinary extravaganza raised some $60,000 for the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education.

“The Falls was the perfect backdrop for ‘Chefs Cook it up for Kids,’” said Julie Goldman, general manager at The Falls.

“This was another opportunity for us to support the community and rally restaurants and others together to benefit the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education.”

The event was a real treat featuring delicious food from more than 25 of South Florida’s premier restaurants and caterers such as A Joy Wallace Catering Production & Design Team, Anacapri, A&S Delicious Catering, Bargello Bistro, Café Sambal, Creative Tastes Catering, CrepeMaker, Death By Chocolate, Ever After Cake Designs, Fare to Remember Creative Caterer, Golden Chic Catering, Hotel Intercontinental Miami, LA Sweets, Los Ranchos Steakhouse, Power Pizza, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Smith & Wollensky, Starbucks Coffee, The Melting Pot, Trattoria Sole, We’re Having a Party Inc., and more.

Westminster Christian School in Palmetto Bay has announced the opening of its new division, Horizons Academy, a full-day school program for students in first through fifth grade with documented learning disabilities.

Horizons Academy will open in August with two ungraded classrooms. Students will be instructed by special education teachers in all core areas, and will be mainstreamed and participate with their Westminster peers in physical education, art and music classes, and in the WorldWonder science enrichment program. They also will have one-to-one clinical services provided twice weekly, and will participate in the Lexia Reading Lab during the school day.

“There has been a need within our community for a school such as this, that will provide Christian education to students with learning disabilities in a full-time setting,”

said Lourdes Caudales, program director for Horizons Academy. “Our mission is to serve children with learning differences in a holistic, multi-sensory environment where they can develop an appreciation for God’s world through experiential learning.”

Horizons Academy admits students with documented learning disabilities as identified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). These include auditory processing deficits, disorders in reading, writing, and/or math, attention-deficit disorders, and learning disabilities not otherwise specified. Students must have a recent psycho-educational evaluation to be considered for admission.

Special events now require special attention

AROUND TOWN A rea businesses, if you’re thinking of having any kind of special event, such as a Cinco de Mayo, grand opening, promotion, Black Friday sale, autograph signing or contest, you’d better contact Village Hall so you don’t run afoul of any regs. Events like these may cause unusual traffic problems or other difficulties, according to an item posted on the village website.

“The Village of Palmetto Bay is a strong supporter of local businesses and understands the financial and community benefits derived from having a successful special event. The Village’s special event guidelines ensure the safety and welfare of all participants including adjacent businesses,” says the online notice.

The Village currently requires an application to be completed and submitted for approval at least two weeks prior to an event.

“We highly recommend that the Village noise and sign ordinances be read and understood prior to the initialization of any event. Rules and regulations apply to the appearance, duration, location, and size of a special event banner. Tents and stages may require a building permit in addition to the special event permit. Food preparation and alcoholic beverages require additional documentation to be attached with the special event permit application.”

We ’ re h e a r i n g r u m o r s that the upcoming election for Katy Sorenson’s soon to be vacated County Commission seat may just

see some influence applied by a political party at the national level, since one of the new candidates for the job opposed a prominent U.S. Representative awhile back in her bid for re-election and is not looked upon with favor. The county seat is nonpartisan, but bad feelings can run deep.

We’ll see what happens.

St a t e DO T is taking a second look at adding bike lanes on Sunset Drive just west of South Miami when it’s repaved next year. Action was prompted by a resolution from the Miami-Dade Bicycle-Pedestrian Advisory Committee, which reviewed plans in February, recommending a slight median narrowing to gain space for bike lane widths. FDOT holds a public workshop for those concerned from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 30, at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 7410 Sunset Drive, to review plans.

T h e d r a m a at South Miami City Hall continues to amaze even the most calloused observers as it seems as though every couple of weeks another “I can’t believe that happened at city hall” incident happens there again. Finally, the Miami Herald wrote a front page story last week making reference to the soap opera going on at city hall. And yes, it is a soap opera and it is the making of the people in power, and the people that work at and for city hall.

prise, surprise...” At last week’s fundraiser at Splittsville Lanes, there were lots of teams that bowled to help raise money for the South Miami Drug-Free Coalition.

Some folks got mixed and matched and in what appears to be the best faux pas of the day, former Mayor Horace Feliu and wife Seida wound up on the same team as current mayor Phillip Stoddard. Okay, that’s not too bad, but I’ll betcha that Phil, who ran on a “we don’t like what FPL is trying to do” campaign didn’t know (or did he?) that the bowling lane was sponsored by none other then FPL. That’s right—FPL made a contribution to the worthy cause and there was Phil, working together with the very same mega giant corporation of which he disapproves.

The Jackson Memorial story: Which one to believe?

R. Kenneth Bluh KENNETH’S COMMENTARY First Jackson Memorial Hospital (Public Health Trust) was going to lose $40 million in the next 12 months. Then within one month the projected loss changed to $229 million.

They would need to fire 900 employees (2/23/10) to balance the books. Next, to solve the dilemma, the hospital administration said it must fire 4,487 employees (3/6/10), nurses, doctors and staffers as well as close Jackson South and Jackson North. Then, if the county didn’t provide a quick intravenous shot of $80 million, the whole hospital system would collapse.

Now they only need to fire 650 employees (3/17/10) and they could keep both North and South hospitals open. One of Jackson’s solutions is slow down paying their bills (3/18/10).

Which story should we believe?

Jackson’s problem is the fiscal side of the hospital’s operations. Fiscal responsi-

bility means being able to project hospital revenue and expenses although the administration can make the appropriate adjustments to operations. Without a good grip on its finances, no one — the hospital’s administrators, the board of county commissioners or the taxpayers who pay the half-cent sales tax — can come to its rescue.

I learned quite a bit about billing the last time I was at a hospital (not Jackson) for a visit to the emergency room. When I received the payment breakdown, the hospital bill was approximately $12,000. I learned there was a negotiated agreement with the hospital to pay about $4,000 of the $12,000. What about the other $8,000? It was eaten by the hospital.

My question: Was Jackson projecting their future income based upon my $12,000 or upon the $4,000 they would actually receive? Why set up a $12,000 account receivable when you know you are only going to receive $4,000? Could this be the problem?

When all is said and done, the hospital is running in the red and that cannot continue.

I fully understand the unions’ positions.

They were working under negotiated contracts receiving agreed upon salaries.

–– VIEWPOINT –– Along comes the hospital’s administration who said, “Sorry, we made an error in accounting and we are going to close if we don’t fire 4,487 of you guys real soon.”

You can’t meet payroll with misguided good intentions. We just can’t, overnight, increase the sales tax to cover the shortage.

The county has its own problems and to look to it to cover wages when it is in the middle of employee cuts doesn’t make much sense.

Jackson went to Tallahassee seeking financial assistance from the state only to learn from the legislature that it couldn’t help with the current crisis. Instead it was planning on cutting its contribution to the hospital in the new budget.

Whatever decisions are made by Jackson’s management other hospitals in South Florida must assist in taking some of the pressure off Jackson by sharing services to the indigent. This will give some

breathing room to Jackson. If Jackson were to go under, the rest of the hospitals would be in far worse shape if forced to take over all of Jackson’s responsibilities.

If I were a union member, I would accept pay cuts, but with the hospital’s guarantee that when the finances are straightened out the salaries would be returned to the scale paid before the cut, plus an incremental increase for inflation. That way everyone would keep his or her job, the hospital would function and the staff would be working to make Jackson a more cost efficient operation.

Don’t let yourself be a victim of tax scams

Al Sunshine 4 YOUR MONEY It’s that time of the year again! That’s right — it’s tax season! And that also means its prime time for tax scams. So heed the warning from the Florida Attorney General’s Office and don’t get ripped off.

Here are some tips to avoid getting yourself mixed up in a tax jam: • Avoid charity solicitations from unknown groups seeking last-minute donations to reduce your taxes. The charity could be an unlicensed scam. Also, don’t fall for any email solicitations from the IRS for personal information or the status of any refunds. The IRS says it doesn’t use email for either purpose.

• Be sure to protect all your personal information if you send out any financial data online or through the mail. Many technological devices can’t be counted on for reliability when it comes to determining how safe they really are. Make sure to activate or download any of the personal security features the device offers.

“Most tax preparers are on the up and up,” Mike Dobzinski of the IRS tells me.

“There are some out there that are going to try and inflate deductions, credits and things of that sort. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

So, what’s up next? Finding a qualified

tax expert.

If you are going to use a local tax preparer, make sure to check out their qualifications. Ask if they’ll be available even after tax season to help guide your tax planning year-round. Also, ask about their fees, and make sure they will be able to represent you if you are audited by the IRS. Don’t just look in the yellow pages. Ask around with friends and relatives. Shy away from preparers who promise that they can guarantee an amount of a refund or who insist on receiving a percentage of your refund.

So what about those popular tax software programs?

Again, don’t be afraid to ask their support personnel or qualified IRS experts about any tax concerns you may have.

And if you use an online tax service, ask what happens to your data once you upload your tax forms. Be sure to ask how they protect your most personal tax and financial data.

No matter how you choose to do your taxes, make sure to keep copies of all your important tax documents. Use a digital camera to take a picture of your tax records and keep them handy if they’re ever needed. It’s safer to download them to your home computer and delete them from the camera. That way, if it’s ever lost or stolen, your tax records won’t get in the hands of strangers.

Baptist Health employees pack million meals for Haiti

During the span of four days, some 3,800 Baptist Health South Florida employees and their families volunteered 7,000 hours of their free time in two-hour shifts of 165 people to assemble one million meals for the people of Haiti.

Baptist Health South Florida coordinated the four-day meal-a-thon to raise consciousness for relief and recovery efforts for the earthquake ravaged country.

“It was so gratifying to see employees from practically every department represented at the four-day event — from board members and doctors and nurses to social workers, environmental staff and techs,” said Wayne Brackin, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Baptist Health South Florida.

“It was a great team effort by everyone involved during those four days that had 23 shifts staffed with 3,800 Baptist Health volunteers accumulating 7,000-plus hours to reach our goal of one million meals. And we got it done with 5,000 meals to spare,” he added.

Remembering boating safety can ensure smooth sailing

As we enter spring, it seems like more and more people are opting to spend their weekend out on the open seas.

Boating is a big deal in Miami. If you don’t own a boat, you know someone who does. Whether you are going out fishing or to just catch a few rays, you must remember to sail safely.

An average of 700 people die every year in recreational boating accidents. Drowning is the No. 1 cause of these fatalities, and 86 percent of drowning victims were not wearing a personal flotation device.

To ensure a safe and fun-filled weekend, MDFR is encouraging residents to consider the following safety tips: • Wear a Personal Flotation Device (PFD). One wearable PFD for each person aboard is required, and they should be stowed where readily available. United States Coast Guard statistics indicate that on average more than 600 people drown annually in boating accidents. About 88 percent could have survived if they had worn a PFD. • Have a fire extinguisher onboard. Fire extinguishers are a very important safety item. Inspect your fire extinguishers monthly to make sure they are properly stored, charged, and undamaged.

• Test your boat lights. Always test your boat lights before you leave the dock. If you use battery-operated lights, always carry extra batteries.

• Alcohol and boating don’t mix.

Alcohol impairs your judgment, balance and coordination. Over 50 percent of drownings result from boating incidents involving alcohol. Balance is one of the first things you lose when you consume alcohol, and when you combine this with the rocking of the boat, the chances of

falling overboard increase.

• Watch the weather. Check weather warnings and forecasts before leaving shore and while at sea. Remain watchful for signs of bad weather and listen to weather radio broadcasts on your VHF radio.

• Develop a float plan. Give a responsible person details about where you will be and how long you will be gone. In the event of an emergency, this information could be the key to finding you and bringing help to your location.

• Hydrate. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Avoid drinks that contain caffeine, alcohol or high sugar content because they actually contribute to dehydration.

• Use common sense. This means operating at a safe speed at all times, especially in crowded areas. Be alert at all times, and steer clear of large vessels and watercrafts that can be restricted in their ability to stop or get out of the way. Be respectful of buoys and other navigational aids that have been placed to ensure your boating safety.

All boat owners should consider having a vessel safety check. This is a free check conducted by the local Coast Guard Auxiliary for boaters who wish to make sure that their vessel meets all federal and local safety requirements.

The vessel safety check is not a law enforcement issue, and no citations are given for any discrepancies. The examiner will make note of the current condition of the vessel and offer suggestions and tips for safety improvements.

The next time you plan an excursion on the high seas, remember these tips to make your day a safe one.

Miami Children’s Hospital marks 60th anniversary

Miami Children’s Hospital celebrated its 60th anniversary on Saturday, Mar. 20, in a three-hour community event that brought together patients, families, physicians, nurses, employees and financial donors with members and leaders of the community.

Held in the courtyard of its medical complex at 3100 SW 62 Ave., the celebration featured a giant birthday cake, face painting, clowns, performers and stilt walkers, an orchestra and other festivities, as well as a special presentation by hospital administrators and invited VIPs. After a selection of music from the students of the Doctors Charter School of Miami Shores Chamber String Ensemble, Amanda Lopez sang the National Anthem and Dr. Devin Brown, senior chaplain, gave the invocation.

Nancy Humbert, an MCH vice president, welcomed everyone and introduced State Rep. Eduardo “Eddy” Gonzalez, who presented a Tribute on behalf of the Florida House of Representatives. Palmetto Bay Mayor Eugene Flinn gave MCH a proclamation in honor of the occasion and the hospital’s accomplishments.

“The stories and miracles that come out of here make us very proud to be supportive and a part of your community,” said Mayor Flinn. “On behalf of the Village of Palmetto Bay, we are proud and honored to offer this proclamation to Miami Children’s Hospital in honor of your outstanding institution which focuses exclusively on caring for children.”

Dr. Narendra Kini, MCH president and CEO, took the podium to express his thoughts on the significance of the occasion.

“With each decade we have grown, not only the size of the campus and the scope of our services, but in our national and international reputation for service excellence,” Dr. Kini said. “Today I am proud to note that we are consistently ranked among the

Miami Children’s Hospital is South Florida’s only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children, and has provided medical care for children from all over the world since 1950 when it first opened its doors as Variety Children’s Hospital.

The hospital initially focused on medical and surgical needs of children in the community, and also as a center for polio victims until Dr. Jonas Salk developed a cure for the disease in 1955. In 1958 it became a teaching hospital to prepare doctors in the field of pediatrics.

In 1964 the hospital began a $35 million expansion, increasing its bed count and adding new outpatient facilities, and opened

its first intensive care unit the following year.

Variety Children’s Hospital was renamed Miami Children’s Hospital in 1983, dedicated a new 213,000-square-foot hospital in 1986, and in subsequent years opened a Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the George E. Batchelor Research and Academic Pavilion, the Congenital Heart Institute at MCH, the Health on Wheels mobile health units to provide care for underserved children, the LifeFlight critical care transport program, the Miami Children’s Brain Institute, the Ambulatory Care Building and branches in Weston, Palmetto Bay, Miami Lakes, Doral and West Kendall.

Other speakers at the celebration included Lucy Morillo, foundation president; Jackie Gonzalez, chief nursing officer; Dr. Deise Granado, chief medical officer, and Dr. Luis Gonzalez-Mendoza, president of MCH Medical Staff.

The speakers were followed by families of the Children’s Miracle Network who

took the stage to thank the hospital and celebrate their own success stories in overcoming life-threatening childhood illnesses or injuries. Among them was Eddie Garcia, who had been a patient at MCH when he was a child and whose son Shay had been treated there for acute myeloid leukemia.

“When he was 6 months old he was diagnosed with AML,” Garcia said. “Over the following four years Shay would relapse three different times. He endured several months of chemotherapy at a time. He’s had the maximum dose of radiation allowable for a human lifetime. He’s a bone marrow transplant survivor, and he did relapse after bone marrow as well, which made him a candidate for T-cell transfusion and he endured several grueling weeks of that as well. Long story short, Shay’s been in remission now for six years.”

It also was announced that MCH will be opening a children’s care center in Palm Beach County later this year.

YMCA offers program to teach young golfers

The South Dade YMCA has a program to teach youngsters how to play golf.

The program was started by Frank Geller; his sister, Ledah Geller, and Mike Ford, the golf pro at the Palmetto Bay Golf Course and golf coach at Palmer Trinity School.

“Golf has really done a lot for me,” Frank Geller said. “I wanted to teach it to other kids.”

Geller said there are things kids can learn from golf that also will help them in life.

“In golf, like in life, you have to be patient,” he said, adding that the things he has learned through golf have helped not only in sports but in school and life in general.

Ford said the program was started to provide young kids with a sport they can have with them the rest of their lives.

“Golf is a very fast-growing sport,” Ford said. “You don’t need to put together six friends to play. It’s a sport you can participate in into your 80s.”

The program is geared to teach children as young as 5 and as old as 16. A pilot program began last year and attracted more than 10 children, most of who had not been exposed to the game before.

“We have three different stations set up for them for beginning golf — putting, chipping, full swing,” Ford said. “It will be on Fridays from 5 to 6 p.m. The program runs six weeks at a time. We stay on the same schedule as the rest of the programs. Once a week for an hour on Fridays.”

The students are asked to pre-register.

Ford said they need to register by the Wednesday of the week they want to participate.

While Ford runs the program, the students on the Palmer golf team work as counselors. Both Gellers have taught sessions in return for community service hours.

A session began on Mar. 5.

“It’s a lot of fun,” Ledah Geller said.

She has been playing golf for three years and loves it so much, she plays on the Palmer team along with her brother. Palmer does not have a girls’ team. She hopes more girls come out to learn the game.

“We really need it in the sport,” she said.

The initial golf session last year drew eight kids.

Ford said that in addition to lessons on how to putt, chip and swing, they are working with the Palmetto Golf Course on a joint promotion that would allow the kids to play golf at the Briar Bay Golf Course.

“At that point we can start to cover rules, etiquette and the game itself,” he said.

Ford would love to expand the program to the summer.

“If there is enough interest, we’ll do a summer golf camp,” he said.

He already has done some fundraising and has found community partners to keep costs down.

“The YMCA is going to help with partial financing of the program,” he said. “Alf’s golf shop has donated some junior golf clubs and I’ve refurbished some stuff the YMCA had from years ago. Any donations anyone wants to make in terms of junior equipment, we’re always looking for that.

Another plus is that the YMCA does have some money for scholarships for kids who need help, Ford said.

Filmmaking teams will be emailed a theme, such as revenge or greed, and surprise element, such as a prop or action that must be performed in the film, at 10 p.m. on Apr. 30.

‘Instruments of Torture’ exhibition coming to MDC’s Freedom Tower

Just as there are works of art that radiate a message of love and peace, there also are objects that attest to the capacity of inhumanity in the world. This darker side of mankind is captured in “Instruments of Torture through the Ages,” an exhibition of nearly 100 instruments designed for torturing and executing.

On loan from the Museo Toscana in Italy, the exhibition will open at Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd. in downtown Miami, on Friday, Apr. 2, marking its East Coast premiere and only the second showing in the U.S. Organizers hope the exhibition draws attention to contemporary human rights issues around the world.

“The iconic Freedom Tower, a National Historic Landmark, was chosen as the ideal setting because it is a symbol of freedom for many who have fled oppressive political and social systems abroad, including political prisoners,” said Covadonga Talavera, U.S. representative for Museo Toscana.

In conjunction with the exhibition, the college will host educational lectures, panels and workshops on the issues of freedom, human rights, and torture.

“Our mission with this exhibition is to provide information through a historical retrospective about a practice condemned by most civilized countries as an inexcusable crime, but still practiced in many parts of the modern world,” said MDC Art Gallery director Jorge Gutierrez.

“Instruments of Torture through the Ages” first opened in Florence, Italy, in April 1983. Most of the collection consists of original pieces acquired from antiques shops throughout Europe, some dating to the 16th and 17th centuries.

They include the Pendulum, Garrotte, Iron Maiden, Spiked Collar, The Guillotine, and Interrogation Chairs,

fundamental freedoms can be attained if people become aware of those circumstances where even today rights and freedoms are violated,” Gutierrez added.

The exhibition is co-produced with the

Toscana Museum, in collaboration with Amnesty International, Centro Cultural Español and the Dante Alighieri Society in Miami.

MDC’s Freedom Tower serves as a significant educational and cultural center. In the recent years since it was donated to the college by Pedro Martin and family, the building has been used for other major art exhibitions, including showcasing the works of masters Dalí, Goya and Da Vinci, and for important presentations, including speeches by Spain’s former Prime Minister Jose María Aznar, prolific writer Tom Wolfe, First Lady Michelle Obama, and Former Polish President Lech Walesa.

The e xhibition will be open to the public from Apr. 2 through Aug. 29. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, noon-5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Mitsubishi Outlander is redesigned for 2010 Ron Beasley AUTOMOTIVE EDITOR

LET’S TALK CARS The Mitsubishi Outlander has been restyled for 2010 and now comes in four different trim levels — ES, SE, XLS and GT. The Outlander is based on Mitsubishi’s performance-engineered global platform that also forms the foundation of the new-generation Lancer and Lancer Evolution models. It has a rigid unibody structure that allows for a sport-tuned suspension and a smooth ride.

Standard on the Outlander is a Lancer Evolution-inspired lightweight aluminum roof panel, which lowers the center of gravity for better handling.

The Outlander has a new and distinctive jet fighter-look to its grille, with the GT getting a blacked out front bumper cover design and a lightweight aluminum roof, while the SE models (2WD and 4WD) have an optional compact third-row of seats that stow beneath the floor, expanding the seating from five to seven. All have a new hood, fenders, rear quarter panel fascia, door mirrors, headlights,

side sill extensions, and a mesh grille.

The SE, XLS and GT models have chrome accents on the side sill extensions and grille.

A flat-fold tailgate is another nice standard feature that makes loading and access to the rear storage area easier.

Under the hood, Outlander ES and SE models are equipped with a 2.4-liter MIVEC four-cylinder engine that produces 168 hp and 167 pounds-feet of torque, both mated to a standard CVT Sportronic transmission. The XLS and GT models have a more powerful 3.0-liter 230 hp MIVEC V-6 (18/24 mpg) engine that develops 215 pounds-feet of torque with a standard six-speed Sportronic transmission.

The ES, SE and XLS models are available with 2WD or AWC, while the top-of-the line GT comes standard exclusively with SuperAll Wheel Control (S-AWC).

Front suspension strut tower bars enhance Outlander’s lateral rigidity and allow for precise steering response, while the rear multilink suspension provides an excellent balance of handling and comfort. ES models come with 16-inch steel wheels and aluminum alloy wheels are optional, both with 215/70R16 tires.

Outlander SE, XLS, and GT models have 18inch aluminum-alloy wheels as standard equipment, with 225/55R18 all-season tires.

Outlander has distinctive mesh grill, a new hood, fenders, door mirrors, headlights and side sill extensions.

A drive-mode dial on the center console allows the driver to select 2WD, 4WD or LOCK positions. In 4WD or LOCK modes, the system uses an electronically controlled transfer clutch to automatically route variable power to the rear wheels, depending on driving and road surface conditions. In either 4WD or LOCK modes, the system routes more torque to the rear wheels under acceleration.

As for extras, there’s an available 40GB hard disc drive navigation system with Music Server that includes Real-Time Traffic (RDS)

with no subscription fee. The RockfordFosgate Punch premium sound system is standard on the GT and optional on SE and XLS in the Sun & Sound Package and has 710 watts of audio power.

Base pricing on the Mitsubishi Outlander ranges from $20,840 to $29,250.
