How to use the Promise Cards
Use the cards to bring a fun and fresh element to reading My First Promise Bible with your child.
There are lots of ways that you can use these cards with your child in conjunction with the My First Promise Bible book. There is a Promise Card for each story.
A few ideas to use the cards:
Let your child pick a card, and then read that story to them.
Make a fun game of finding all the promise icons that are the same:
Make piles of the cards that have the same promise icons.
Explain one of the gifts to your child in the context of the stories illustrated.
When your child is familiar with the stories, let your child pick a card from the illustrated side of the card. Let your child tell you which story is illustrated or, tell them the story title if they do not know. Then read the story together.
Show them the picture of the gift icon on the card – look up the explanation of the gift in the infographic on page 9 of the book, and talk about it together.
