By tourism we mean the entire visitor-industry, which also includes the business traveler. It’s the largest industry in terms of its number of employees.

Car Culture and Beyond Because of its vastness, transportation throughout L.A. has grown into a problem of epic proportion. Freeways, which were once seen as the utopian solution, have turned into a nightmare of snarled congestion during rush hour.
