The 1947-48 Miners do things in a big way what a reception St. Patrick, Patron Saint of En路 gineers, got in Rolla this year! Hundreds of party-happy Miners and their dates greeted the Irish Elder as he rolled Into the depot on tho1 beautiful spring afternoon in March. His weekend stay in the Ozarks was eventful. Fri路 day's program continued as St. Pat, cursing in melodious Gaelic, mounted his Manure Spreader and led the parade to Parker Hall. The Coronation of Miss Sue Gleason as St. Pat's Queen occurred that evening at the Masquerade Boll. On Saturday St. Pat and his followers, with faltering steps. attended the Sigma Nu Tea Dance in the afternoon ond the Semi Formal Dance at Jackling Gymnasium In the evening. Ted Weems provided the music for both evening dances. On Sunday and Monday the Miners rested, assured that St. Pat was once more convinced of their loyalty and allegiance.
