The local branch of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers was founded in the spring of 1930 by Dr. Aaron J. Miles. The purpose of the association is to promote the art and science of mechanical engineering by acquainting the members with the practical and theoretical sides of engineering. Members are offered valuable experience in expressing themselves on technical topics by presentation of technical papers.
