2. Attendance- see attached sign in sheet 3. Minutes – Minutes were approved as read.

4. Treasurer’s Report- The balance on hand was $ 2,291.

5. New Business a. Key Club was explained in the following ways: i. Testimonials – Members fell in love with service and with the “family” feel of the club ii. Community service opportunities are constant iii. Chances to do things outside of Cloverdale, like Region Training Conference, Awake-A-Thon, Fall Rally, District Convention, Key Leader and International Convention. Also, there are monthly events called Division Council Meetings. iv. Dues of $10 must be paid before traveling outside of Cloverdale. Dues allow for Kiwanis International to cover members for insurance. b. Sign-up sheets were passed around for the following events, and they were explained: i. PTP fundraising in front of Ray’s – We fundraise for children who get in accidents or end up in emergency situations. We’re there, at Ray’s, every Friday this month. ii. Shine Day – We work on projects with the Special Day Class students. There is an event next Friday at lunchtime. We’re making “dog toys”.

Cloverdale High School Key Club

iii. Senior Center Pancake Breakfast – We help cater to the town with breakfast on September 10th. iv. Kiwanis DCM – We meet our Kiwanis family and experience a Kiwanis Division 32 meeting. This is being held in Ukiah on the morning of September 17th. v. Region Training Conference –This is on September 24th and it also has a Division Council Meeting and a service project, too. There will be sessions about understanding Key Club and doing service for those in need. vi. Havana Nights – This is also being held on September 24th, but in the evening.

Members will cater at this event, refill drinks, etc…. Members are asked to wear black bottoms and a white top, (a little dressed-up). c. Future meeting information was discussed: i. Day of the week that meetings are held – Tuesdays ii. Food provided – By officers in the club iii. Starting time – during lunch with a start of 12:55 at the latest iv. Sign-up sheets – Will be passed around at each meeting.
