The previous video clearly demonstrates how to use a paper punch, and how a paper punch punches two circular holes into a sheet of paper.

Mechanics Video

Mechanics Video

The previous video demonstrates the mechanics of a hole punch, showing how it works. You are able to see the springs and bars pushing the cutters down, and the blade in the shape of a parabola, to better slice the paper. By pressing the top of the paper punch down, a bar going across the top of the cover presses the punch pins down, using a spring to create power. Then, the blade of the pin punches a hole in the paper, the parabola shape making it more efficient.
