Over the last decade, there have been few practical issues with this technology, which we are proud to have addressed thanks to feedback from the market. Let’s refresh our memories first and look at the transition.
Working Principle In an Adiabatic Cooling System, the condenser entry air will be cooled by the direct evaporative cooling method. The reduced entry air temperature improves the efficiency of the chiller and hence reduces power consumption. We have recorded cases of up to 15%* power savings. Evaporative cooling is used to lower the temperature of air by using latent heat of evaporation, changing water to water vapour. In this process, there is the conversion of air sensible heat into latent heat due to which dry bulb temperature drops near to the wet-bulb temperature. For Example: Air temperature at 40°C DBT & 24°C WBT, after evaporative cooling, will have dry bulb temperature dropping closer to 24°C with WBT remaining at 24°C.
