The light of the world turned from incandescent to intermittent, following the COVID-19 health emergency, in which many dreams faltered, yet more than ever, love and generosity were ever present. We would like to share our actions with purpose for the second quarter of 2020.

COVID-19DONATIONS Donation of medicines to Fundación Lomas IA.P. 27 March We distributed a donation of over 300 medicine ítems from the Stores Division of Grupo Lomas, to the retirement home, Fundación Ciudad de la Alegría A.C. during the contingency lockdown period.
Donation of face shields to CancúnGeneral Hospital on 13th April Our strategic ally Marsal Seguridad donated materials for our volunteer group Ángel Lomas in order to make 100 face shields. These in turn, were donated to the medical staff of Cancún General Hospital.
FONDO DE DESPENSA MX,15th May 2020 The Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi), through its partners, affiliates and regional alliesaliaRSE, as well as the University Network for Attention and Prevention of Disasters, created the FOOD SUPPLY FUND MX, we supported 30 of our scholar´s familieswho have lost their primary source of income. The benefit consists of a $500 biweekly shopping card valid for 3 months in exchange for basic food supplies.

The intern fellows created an online work program, in order to continue working in Home Office mode, as well as recreational dynamics in art and culture, healthy living and entertainment.
WORKSHOP - WHAT IS YOUR SUPERPOWER? 16TH MAY 2020 Taught by: Mtra. Rocío Moreno Our bimonthly event was held online, through a workshop that allowed fellows to share their dreams, goals, and to keep us together.
“5 HABITS TO REBUILD YOUR WELL-BEING” 29THMAY 2020 For the first time, the National Webinar was held, coordinated by the Private Assistance Boards of Campeche, Chihuahua, Colima, Mexico City, State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Puebla, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Sonora and Yucatán, aimed at Foundations and Organizations. We participated with Mtra. Rocío Moreno´s presentation. Doing what we like, organization and passion are the key to the well-being and contribution to organizations.
VIDEOCONFERENCE “EDUCATION WITH PURPOSE” 10TH JUNE 2020 The board of trustees of the Universidad del Caribe and Fundación Lomas I.A.P. conducted this videoconference within the framework of our “No one is left out” strategy. This initiative took place to support students in situations of vulnerability due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The videoconference entitled “Good practicesUnicaribe-Enterprises” was presented by Mrs. Dolores López Lira, president of the institution. In this presentation, the history of the organization, the processes and the importance of Education in our country and the role of young people were shared: “It is impressive how they have brought us ideas, their desire, how they see the world in another dimension. I feel in my heart how grateful they are, they always try to show us that they feel useful, productive and more satisfied in their personal lives.”
VOLUNTEERING ON LINE “AN ANGEL FROM AFAR” Being an Ángel Lomas is a voluntary activity that consists of offering talent and time; giving help and support to a cause or situation. Our rhythm of life is transforming, and now more than ever, being connected is the key. That is why an online volunteer modality was created with the purpose of: Uniting the knowledge and experiences of our Ángeles Lomas from any device, seeking the well-being and development of the Fundación Lomas community. The scholarship fellows became Lomas Tutors and Apprentices in the following subjects: art and culture, spelling and grammar, English, Mathematics, Marketing, Economics, Health Sciences and other independent recycling and orchards projects, hand in hand with Fundación Ciudad del la Alegría.
AN EXTRAORDINARY LEADER We are beginning a new era of transformational Lomas leadership. New challenges and leading a high-performance team? Delivering results in a timely manner? Strengthening skills and abilities to transmit motivation and passion? Grupo Lomas Leaders participated in the workshop "Home office and transformational leadership" in which specialists provided high-level workshops to develop new skills. These are the sessions:

TRAINING FOR SCHOLARSHIP Group sessions for emotional intelligence and crisis management Moderated by our organization´s Director, our students learned new wellness tools, habits as well as rebuilt their dreams.
Sexual health workshop Taught by: Lic. Tania Granados. Allied withMexfamand within the framework of the project “Strengthening Social Actors to Guarantee the Sexual and Reproductive Rights of Adolescents and Youth in Times of Covid-19” with the aim of providing information and guidance to social actors to strengthen them on basic sexual and reproductive health issues within the Rights Framework sexual and reproductive.
Workshop: “Everything relating to the prevention Covid-19” Taught by: Claudia Vargas, Grupo Lomas paramedic. Issues of prevention, care and a safereturn plan were addressed to guarantee Civil Protection standards.
DesignThinking Workshop Taught by: Architect Ken Ramírez. A useful tool focused on promoting innovation in organizations in an effective and successful way.
DONATIONS Doctors, police, social workers, psychologists, teachers and leaders who today support great causes were also at one time students with many dreams.
