drive and ambition

Welcome As a student, your sixth form years are very different to what has gone before. They are not just your final two years at school, they are your first two years as a young adult; when the decisions you make, the qualifications you are awarded and the opportunities you seize begin to shape your future career. As a sixth former at Harris Garrard Academy, you will have the opportunity to build upon everything you have enjoyed here in the past. You will also be able to take advantage of a range of new opportunities, and new ways of learning and discovery, in a supportive and stimulating environment. Our teachers and other members of staff ensure that all students are supported to achieve their personal best. We know that it is important to stretch our students in order to prepare them for the challenges of adult life, but we also want your time at the sixth form to be truly enjoyable. Your two years at Harris Garrard Academy Sixth Form will be filled with opportunities to go beyond the curriculum, with talented and specialist teachers supporting you as you make your way into the world of work or continue your education. With access to a wide range of partnerships with leading

universities and major employers, established through the excellent reputation of the Harris Federation, we are able to provide exciting and innovative ways to explore your talents and develop your experience. We understand that choosing a sixth form is a big decision for you and your family. We hope that you are excited by what you see in this prospectus and can see yourself excelling in our environment. Please do come along to one of our admissions events if you would like to find out more. We look forward to meeting you. Mr Christopher Everitt, Executive Principal
