Bonus Pastor has beautiful new buildings on both of our sites. They are amazing, with ‘state of the art’ facilities, costing £22 million. Bonus Pastor Catholic College is a school where every student is known and loved, where there are outstanding facilities, outstanding student behavior, a culture built on respect, and exceptionally high aspirations for each person. Bonus Pastor Catholic College is a fantastic place to spend your secondary education. Excellent grades will be gained and you will leave our school as a responsible, successful and respectful citizen.
Our buildings are traditional yellow brick buildings; warm and inviting, designed in colours to blend in with the woodland walk which surrounds both sites. Inside both buildings we have the most amazing facilities with cutting edge ICT facilities including two IMAX-like rooms, a fully inclusive digital environment and four state of the art ICT suites. We have our own Chapel and Chapel Garden, adjacent to our Main Hall, designed in the colours of our school uniform. There are two dining areas, lots of light and spacious classrooms, a large and modern library, a modern Drama Studio inside with an Amphitheatre on the outside, a huge sports for England Sports Hall, our own private access to our playing fields, a Music Studio. We have lots of outside space, with a large mount of seating and covered areas so that students and staff can work or play in an external environment, safely and with dignity. Religious education has central importance in supporting our students’ moral and spiritual development. They have important opportunities to develop an adult understanding of the importance of human dignity, and the role of religion in making sense of human life. This is a modern Catholic College where young people can develop and grow in their faith, where they have freedom to explore and courage to ask questions.

06 Happy Students We know that happy students make successful learners. Our lively, challenging atmosphere engages our students with their learning, sets high standards and offers valuable rewards. We listen to our students and use a variety of teaching methods to suit their styles of learning, to keep them interested, focused and motivated.
A MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTING college As a Mathematics & Computing Specialist College, Bonus Pastor is always working on improving the quality of teaching and learning in all subjects and lessons, not just in our specialist subjects.
THE HOUSE SYSTEM Students are organized vertically into six Houses named after Catholic Saints and Martyrs, further enhancing our school ethos. The House system is based on inclusivity, rewards, healthy competition and buddying. Students, staff and parents all love the House system and it gives students an sense of belonging to the school.

The College has lots of friends. We work very closely with our local feeder Catholic primary schools, Christ the King Sixth Form College and have established links with Dulwich College as well as some of our neighboring Bromley Primary and Secondary schools. We are also part of the Outstanding Catholic Schools Alliance of schools and have a partnership with Goldsmith’s University and Imperial College University. We value these partnerships and they benefit the achievement of our students.

“ The experiences offered include outstanding opportunities for residential visits and a wide range of popular and successful clubs and activities.” OFSTED We are a busy community providing plenty of opportunities for learning outside the classroom to keep our students occupied and having fun. There are many opportunities to get involved in a large range of sports and games, with an extensive annual programme of educational trips, journeys and retreats both nationally and internationally. We make sure that our students have time to discover activities they enjoy, and time to participate. We have successful choirs, a mosaic club, drama club and there is a very strong Gifted and Talented programme. Bonus Pastor has a programme of enrichment activities for all students. Our library and computer rooms are open at lunchtimes and we have a full range of after school classes and clubs; both for enriching students’ lives but also to provide intervention so that students receive the best exam results they can. Our sports teams are excellent, especially our Cricket and Rugby teams. Students’ success means everything to us and our fast track groups of students sit their GCSE exams early so that further qualifications may be gained. Their success has a positive effect on the whole College, raising standards all round and inspiring others to strive for excellence.

Our students. As well as our Catholic ethos and Academic Excellence, what is really important to us is your child’s happiness. Students’ attendance to school is outstanding and our commitment to student voice is at the top of our list. Reading, writing, literacy and numeracy skills and ensuring that every student goes to a Sixth form are also key to how we judge our own success. At Bonus Pastor we pride ourselves on ensuring that students have opportunities to express themselves and have a voice. We encourage this through learning in lessons, but also through events that take place throughout the academic year; Sports Day, Art displays, Spirituality activities, After School classes, Saturday classes, Easter and half-term school, Educational Visits, Inter-form competitions, Drama productions, Musical events and shows, working with the BBC on filming, use of ICT, display work throughout College, Research projects, Home Learning and other such activities. As individuals we should all express our creativity through our work and our play. We have a new House system so that young and old can work and play together as well as in their own discreet year groups.

Bonus Pastor also prepares people for life.� CHAIR OF GOVERNORS We believe that our students should be focused and aware of their future opportunities, aiming to become responsible and respectable citizens with a good quality of life. We prepare our students for the complex decisions they need to make about their future in education and beyond, with coaching and encouragement, advice and direction. We work closely with Christ The King and Bromley 6th Form Colleges to promote Further and Higher Education as routes to great success. In preparing for the demands of modern work, skills development is crucial. All students engage in a Citizenship programme including a two week work experience for Year 10 students, matched as far as possible to their interests and ambitions. They record their progress and reflect on their experiences with full support from the College.
