NOTE: Due to safety reasons, no canned squash including summer, zucchini or spa ghetti, pureed or mashed pumpkin, pureed or mashed sweet potatoes, or pureed or mashed potatoes will be judged. summer squash and zucchini are allowed.

3. Articles must be made by the individual entering it.
6. All divisions are open to youth (Pre-School through 12th grade) and adults. Judg ing will be separate. Youth judging will be based on age of child.
7. Points will be awarded as designated in the premium list. All exhibits will be judged on merit. Only those worthy of first, second or third place will be awarded points. If, in the opinion of the judges, the exhibit does not warrant a premium, none will be given. De cision of the judges is final. All judging will be done by out of town judges.

9. A Best of Show award may be awarded in each department (both junior and senior) and extra points given.
1. Entries will be accepted between 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14.2. Baked Goods and Floral entries only will be accepted on Wednesday and also until 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 15. Judging will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 15.
8. Superintendents of each department will have the right to reject any article which they feel does not qualify.
10. Pick up entries between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 18.
Pickled
All entries must have been preserved within the previous 12 months and can only be entered once. All canned foods must be in standard, clear-glass canning jars with self-seal ing, two piece lids. Two-piece lids consist of a flat metal lid held in place by a metal band. Lids must be brand new. Bands should be clean and free of rust. They should not be bent or misshapen. The old style, bail-type closures and porcelain-lined zinc caps are not ac ceptable. Jars must have a vacuum seal. Jars should be clean and free of mineral deposits. Appropriate headspace requirements must be followed. These are: fruits-½”; vegetables-1 to 1 ½” tomatoes/tomato juice/salsas-½”; catsup-1/8”; sweet spreads-¼”; pickles-½”; meat and seafood-1”, poultry/squirrel/rabbit-1 ¼” from top of jar. This is not a comprehensive list of headspaces. Please contact your local Extension agent for individual recipes. The size of the canning jar must be consistent with USDA guidelines. Commercial jars, like the ones used for mayonnaise, peanut butter, coffee, pickles, and jelly, are not allowed for home canning. Paraffin-sealed jams and jellies are not acceptable. No artificial color ing is allowed in canned foods with the exception of hot cinnamon pickles.

The number of animals to be sold from each class will be determined by the Fair Pre mium Sale Committee. The Junior Livestock Exhibitors Premium Sale is limited to stu dents/members who are active in a Bradley County FFA Chapter or 4-H Club and in good standing. To determine eligibility, contact your FFA instructor of County Agent. Junior Livestock Exhibitors are only allowed to sale one project in the Premium Sale. Livestock projects must be under the supervision of the FFA instructor or the County Agent. All livestock being sold in the Premium Sale must be owned by July 1 of the current year and be halter broken and trained to be led for showing. BRADLEY COUNTY LIVESTOCK EXHIBITS

“Certificate of veterinary inspection” refers to a legible record (made on an official form issued from the state of origin) by an accredited veterinarian, which shows that the animals listed thereon meet health requirements of the state of destination. It must bear the identi fication of each animal and separate certificates must be made for each species of animal entered. Entry permits are required on all out-of-state swine, rodeo bulls, psittacines, passerines, ratites, all other avian species except poultry and turkeys, camelids, or exotic animals. Permits are also required on all cattle entering Arkansas from any state that is not a tuberculosis free state, unless that state has a reciprocal agreement with Arkansas.

Fair personnel, veterinarians, or state-federal personnel may examine sheep on grounds. Any sheep showing clinical symptoms of Scrapie shall be immediately quarantined in isolation and required to undergo any approved diagnostic tests and shall be consigned to slaughter or destruction with submission of tissues to an approved diagnostic laboratory at the exhibitor’s Comminglingexpense.(asdefined by the Arkansas Scrapie Regulation) of sheep or goats of different flock status as defined by the Voluntary Flock Certification Program (VFCP) is prohibited and must be reported to the VFCP state official and State Veterinarian No sheep or goats showing symptoms of disease, particularly foot rot, sore mouth, sheep pox, evidence of fungal infection, evidence of abscesses or with draining abscesses will be allowed to show and may be released by fair officials, veterinarians, or state-federal personnel.

All the preceding information must be documented on a valid certificate of veterinary inspection, NPIP flock certification form or similar certificate. These forms must indicate that the flocks from which the eggs or chicks originated have been tested for pullorum disease and were free of reactors; or, any eggs or chicks or poults produced under the supervision of the Na tional Poultry Improvement Plan will be deemed to have met with the requirements of these regulations, provided all of the requirements of NPIP are complied with and applicable NPIP forms accompany birds. All non-certified poultry must be individually identified, either by a permanent leg or wing band or tattoo. Wrap-around plastic bands are not acceptable. NPIP certified flocks of turkeys, chickens, and domesticated fowl entering on a VS 9-3 or NPIP flock certification form or similar certificate are exempt from the requirement of a certificate of veterinary inspection unless a state of emergency has been declared.

No sexually intact rodeo stock from Mexico will be permitted into Arkansas.

All ratites must have a negative test for avian influenza within thirty (30) days prior to entry and exhibition unless a state of emergency has been declared. They must be indi vidually identified with a form of permanent identification and listed on a certificate of veterinary inspection with an entry permit number.

3. Any poultry showing evidence of infectious or contagious disease or insect infes tation will not be permitted to exhibit.
ARKANSAS RABBITS Rabbits will be inspected on grounds. No rabbits showing symptoms of disease will be allowed to show.

All instate sheep and goats in the state of Arkansas must be identified by an official USDA tag (scrapie tag) or for goats a legible official goat registry tattoo if accompanied by a registration certificate. Fair personnel, veterinarians, or state-federal personnel may examine sheep on grounds. Any sheep showing clinical symptoms of Scrapie shall be immediately quarantined in isolation and required to undergo any approved diagnostic tests and shall be consigned to slaughter or destruction with submission of tissues to an approved diagnostic laboratory at the exhibitor’s Comminglingexpense.(asdefined by the Arkansas Scrapie Regulation) of sheep or goats of dif ferent flock status as defined by the Voluntary Flock Certification Program (VFCP) is prohibited and must be reported to the VFCP state official and State Veterinarian. No sheep or goats showing symptoms of disease, particularly foot rot, sore mouth, sheep pox, evidence of fungal infection, evidence of abscesses or with draining abscesses will be allowed to show and may be released by fair officials, veterinarians, or state-federal personnel.
3. Animals to be tested negative for pseudorabies regardless of age within ninety (90) days of the exhibition on a test approved by the state veterinarian or originate directly out of a Qualified Pseudorabies Free Herd, with Qualified Herd number and date of last test shown on certificate. 4. Free of other contagious, infectious, and communicable diseases (erysipelas, atrophic rhinitis, etc.); otherwise they will not be allowed to show and will be released from fairgrounds.

ARKANSAS CAMELIDS
1. All in-state poultry, which includes domesticated game birds, quail, pheasants, peafowl, guineas, and turkeys, present at exhibition in Arkansas shall have originated from U. S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean or equivalent flocks or have had a negative pullorum-ty phoid test within ninety (90) days of the movement to the exhibition (pullorum-typhoid testing on fairgrounds during the fair is prohibited.) This information will be documented on a NPIP Form VS 9-3, 90-Day Certificate, NPIP Flock Certification Form or similar certificate that will accompany the poultry during exhibition.

An official representing the exhibition shall notify the state veterinarian no later than thirty (30) days prior to the exhibition, giving names, place, inclusive dates, and time of the event. The requirements are as follows:

3. Heifers that were born on or after January 1, 1985, that are over twelve (12) months of age and are not official calfhood vaccinates will not be allowed to show (unless they are from a Brucellosis Certified Free Herd.) This will not apply if Arkansas continues as a Brucellosis Free State.

All rodeo stock exhibited at a rodeo in Arkansas must meet the out of state re quirements for brucellosis and tuberculosis for twelve (12) month and older bulls, roping and dogging steers, and heifers even if the rodeo stock originates from Arkansas. Tie down roping calves are exempt from the tuberculosis testing requirements. The exception is a CVI within the state is good for ninety (90) days instead of thirty (30) days.
