CO-OPS AND INTERNSHIPS
Students enjoy access to many activities, both extra- and co-curricular. In fact, at least one organization exists for each engineering discipline.
Participation in student organizations gives students opportunities to participate in regional and national engineering competitions; learn to solve “real world” engineering problems; become involved in community service; network with working professionals in your field and interest area; and become eligible for chapter scholarships.
Projects include the National Champion Fluid Power Vehicle, Baja Car, the Steel Bridge, Robotics, Build and Fly Competition, Environmental Projects and more.

Paid engineering work experiences are available to our students through an integrated and formal co-op program. Students complete three to four semesters of co-op, often resulting in employment with government agencies, industrial manufacturers, consulting firms and other private engineering enterprises. Full time co-op assignments blend well with our curriculum and course offerings. Work experiences can be full-time or part-time. Undergraduate students (freshman–seniors) are eligible.
