2 | Thursday, June 30, 2016 Anthony T. Abbinante, 31 Anthony T. Abbinante 31 years old of Bethel, Ohio, passed away on June 25, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Anderson, Anderson, Ohio. He is survived by his Father and Mother: Mike and Debbie Abbinante; 1 Sister: Casey Abbinante; 1 Brother; Michael (Andrea) Abbinante; Maternal Grandparents-Leon and Jeri Burch; Nieces and Nephews-Makenna, Mason, MyleighJo, Kaiden and Kaige; Numerous Aunts,Uncles and Other family. Member of the NRA. Funeral Services were held at the Charles H. McIntyre Funeral Home, 323 Union St., Felicity, Ohio 45120. Burial was at the Tate Township Cemetery, Bethel, Ohio.
Karen Blair, 64 Karen Sue Blair, age 64 of Mt. Orab, Ohio passed away June 26, 2016 at the Clermont Nursing Care Center in Milford, Ohio. Karen was a loving soul w h o touched m a n y lives and was greatly loved by nurses, aides and fellow residents at Clermont Nursing Care Center. Her love for Elvis Presley and the Cincinnati Reds was well known to all. She enjoyed many activities and crafts and was always proud to show off her creations and winning. Karen grew up in Mt. Orab, Ohio and spent the great majority of her life there under the loving care of her Mom and Dad. She always had fond memories of her childhood and the people she knew from her hometown. It is a sad and loving heart that all who knew and loved her now release her into her heavenly home Karen was born April 26, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of the late Dean Kautz Blair and Clarence Blair. She is survived by two brothers-Bill Blair and wife Linda and Steve Blair and wife Mary Ann all of Cincinnati, Ohio; two loving nieces-Jennifer Blair Purvis and Amy Blair Bausch; one nephew- Ryan Blair and five great nieces and nephews- Mackenzie, Austin, Allie, Brooke and Nicholas. Private graveside services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016. There will be no visitation. The Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio is serving the family. Doris J. Downs, 82 Doris Jean Downs, 82, of Pensacola, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016. Mrs. Downs was born January 2, 1934 in Brown County, Ohio to Russel M. Kelch and Carolina Winkle Kelch. S h e moved to Pensacola of Gulf C o a s t Christian Church. She is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Hugh Kelch. Survivors include her husband, Ralph W. Martha Eversole, 86 Martha Eversole, age 86 of Fayetteville, Ohio died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at her residence. S h e was a homemaker. Martha was born December 14, 1929 in Jeremiah, Kentucky the daughter of the late Wesley and Celia (Blair) Back. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Eversole; one son-in-law, Tony Barber; one granddaughter, Angela Barber and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Eversole is survived by two children, Ernest Eversole and wife Rosemary of Mt. Orab, Ohio and Mary Barber of Fayetteville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Lori and Donald Barber both of Florida and Casey Barber and husband Patrick Lunsford of Mt. Orab, Ohio; five great grandchildren, Brian Frost, Jr., Cody Frost, Sara Frost, Emily Frost and Haley Lunsford and several nieces and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Robert Loyd Fetters of Blanchester, OH was born July 23, 1920 to John Wesley and Pearl (nee Mahaffey) Fetters went to be with his Lord on June 25, 2016 from the O h i o Veterans Home in Georgetown, OH where he spent the last 7 months of his life. He was a WWII Army Veteran, fought during the Normandy Invasion and Battle of the Bulge and received 4 Bronze Stars. He received a Letter of Commendation from Dwight D. Eisenhower, served under General Jimmy Doolittle and helped start the Army Air Corps. He took part in the Honor Flight in 2010. He retired from the Cincinnati Milacron as an inspector in 1985. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blanchester where he was Superintendent and Deacon for many years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, AMVETS, and the DAV. He was a Highland High School basketball star, still known today as "66”. He is survived by his children, Stephen (Carole) Fetters, Deborah (Mike) Rains, Judith Meineke; grandchildren, Troy (Marilyn) Meineke, Rachael (Brad) Insco, Gretchen Meineke, Kyle (Amber) Donaldson, Lincoln Donaldson, and Tarah Donaldson, and Lora (Art) Freeland; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Jack) Howsman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, of 61 years Eloise Hodson Fetters; brothers, Carl Fetters, Harold Fetters, John Fetters Jr. He surrendered his life to Christ in 1949. Friends will be received on Wednesday June 29, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the Tufts Schildmeyer Family Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St. Blanchester, OH 45107, where services will be held on Thursday at 2 PM. Randolph Wilbert “Rudy” Geringer, age 61 of Ripley, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his residence. He was a welder and a member of the U n i o n Pacific Railroad Retirees group. He was born June 16, 1955 in Perryville, Missouri the son of the late Wilbert L. and Julia M. (Schrenk) Geringer. Mr. Geringer is survived by two daughters – Angela Hodges (Dan) of Goshen, Ohio and Heather Hauke (Dustin) of Ripley, Ohio; three grandchildren – Paula, Hannah and Wyatt Hauke; on sister – Aleshia Geringer of Perryville, Missouri; three brothers – John Kevin Geringer of Perryville, Missouri, Aaron Geringer of Perryville, Missouri and Gary Geringer of Georgia; several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. Dohrman Byers will be the Celebrant. According to Rick Scott, OWA coordinator for the Southern Hills and Ripley High School Occupational Work Adjustment program, the program’s first year has been a very successful one. The 1995-1996 school year was the first for the vocational option which operates as a satellite program through a partnership between the Southern Hills Vocational District and RULH School District. George and Marie Carl have recently returned
from Europe where they vacationed for two weeks with their son Tom, who is now living in Bad Soden, Germany. He is working in Frankfurt as the senior engineer in the Opel Plant there and took a vacation while his parents were there. Louis Klinker celebrated his birthday on Saturday, June 15, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dragoo, Sr. Walter and Rita Porter, of Ripley, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 15.
Ohio Valley Manor News for June 6-June 20 The residents of the Ohio Valley Manor were happy to see family and friends the week of June 6th through 13th, 2016. Davi Pritchett, Shirley Washington and Diana Thompson visited resident Mary Pharris. Dawn Grippa made her rounds each day; she enjoyed seeing numerous residents, Pam Sauer and Alice Himes. Herb Polley continues to spend time with family and friends including Rhonda DeFosse, Jane, Kaye, Bobby and Susan Polley. Alice Himes' company included Doug and Denise Palmer, Dawn Grippa and Gary Palmer. Please keep the family of Marion Donley in your prayers during this time of bereavement. In addition to visiting the residents listed above we also stopped in to see: Jeanette Carrington, Kathryn Tong, Jessie Sanders, Bonnie Roush, Nellie Gray, Helen Kerr, Roy Copple, Helen Henize, Judy Burson, Ada Daulton, Valerie Shelton and Imelda Kimball.
