OBITUARY

Roberta C. Hunt

Ralph A. Downs

Ralph A. Downs, age 84 years, died July 18, 2016 in Pensacola, Fla. He was born in Adams County, Ohio on July 15, 1932 to Arthur and Lena Bell (Jenner) Downs. Ralph graduated from Winchester High School in 1950. He moved to Ruskin, Fla. in 1972 and to Pensacola in 2004. Ralph was a retired independent trucker. He

was a member of the Gulf Coast Christian Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years; Doris (Kelch) Downs on June 14, 2016. His survivors include two sons, Keith and wife Tiphane and Ken and wife Joanne; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandaughter; one sister, Ruth Hughes of Russellville; two brothers, Jack Downs of Manchester and Robert Downs of Winchester; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held on July 25, 2016 at the Gulf Coast Christian Church with burial at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola.

Hannah Jane Teegarden Hannah J Teegarden, 96, formerly of Ripley, died Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Adams County Manor. She was born Jan. 20, 1920 in Ripley to the late Stace and Lucille (Smith) Coslett. She belonged to the Christian Church of Ripley and formerly worked at the US Shoe Factory. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Teegarden in 1976, a son, James Teegarden and a great granddaughter: Brooklyn Pell. She is survived by her son, Melvin (Billie Jean) Teegarden of Cincinnati;

her three daughters, Dorothy Stephenson, Shirley (Bob) Pell, and Christina (Cecil) Shelton all of West Union; nine grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 29 at the Wilson Home for Funerals. Reverend Dale Little will officiate. Burial will follow at the Manchester Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from noon until 2 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056.

Ira L. Anderson Ira Leeray Anderson, 49, of Aberdeen, died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the UC Medical Center in Cincinnati. He was born March 12, 1967 in Hamilton County, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Baker) Evans; son, Christian Lee Anderson and mother, Betty Jean Anderson. The visitation is Friday,

July 29, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union with the funeral service at 1 p.m. Reverend Richard Collins will officiate. Anne Kiley Louiso Brodt Anne Kiley Louiso Brodt age 83 years of West Union, died Sunday July 24, 2016 at the Adams County Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Brodt was born July 17, 1933, the daughter of the late John and Carrie (Bickett) Kiley in St. Martin, Ohio. Besides her parents. Mrs. Brodt was preceded in death by her brothers Jack and Denny Kiley and her sister Justine Aubry. Mrs. Brodt is survived by her four sons, Mike and Patti Louiso of Batavia, Randy and Linda Louiso of West Union, Mark and Donna Louiso of Moscow, and Todd and Jane Louiso of Zionsville, Ind.; eight daughters, Janet Herring of Fayetteville, Dot and Jim Ramos of Santa Barbara, Calif., Debbie and Danny Barber of Fayetteville, Kay and Mark Little of Galena, Ohio, Cindy and Mitch Erwin of Fayetteville, Sandy Cotherman of Saegertown, Pa., Roberta (Bert) and Jeff Darnell of Farmington Hills, Mich.,

Annette and Mike Houch of Wilmington. Also surviving is her former husband John Brodt of West Union; four brothers, Harvey and Joyce Kiley of Sanibel Island, Fla., Ray and Betty Kiley of Hillsboro, Bob and Barb Kiley of Fayetteville, and Ralph Kiley of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mary and John Medley of Owensboro, Ky. and Sister Dorothy Kiley of Cincinnati; also many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 30, 2016 at noon at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in West Union with Father Ted Kosse officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the St. Martin Cemetery in Fayetteville. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Family kindly requests if interested that donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

Roberta C. (Rogers) Hunt, age 88, passed away on July 22, 2016. She was a resident of Williamsburg, Ohio. She was the loving mother of Edwin Hunt (Janice), and the late Russell Hunt and Sandra Benson; Grandmother of Heather

Tener Douglas Strobl, Eric Fottenbury, Amy Brossart, Meagan Hunt, Zachary Hunt and Brittany Benson; Greatgrandmother of Kayleigh Brossart; and sister of Bill Rogers. She is also survived by numerous family and friends and was preceded in death by her brothers Farnum, Thomas, Dale, Dean and Ken Rogers, sisters June Wiles and Mary Jean Shivner. Tener J Douglas, 95 years of Peebles, passed away at the Adams County Regional Medical Center on Monday, July 25, 2016. He was born in Peebles on May 2, 1921, the son of the late Harry and Mabel (Tener) Douglas. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Fern (McCoy) Douglas who passed away on Nov. 6, 2006. Tener was a member of the Conway Chapel United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the US Army, having served in World War II. He was also an active member of the American Legion at

Post #594 in Peebles. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Paul and Jean Douglas of Peebles, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Services were held at the Wallace Thompson Funeral home in Peebles on Friday July 29, 2016 at 1 p.m., with a Military Graveside service following at Locust Grove Cemetery, with rites provided by the Adams County Honor Guard. Friends called at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday July 29.
