B. Joyce Jones, 85 B. Joyce Jones, age 85 of Georgetown, Ohio died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Ohio Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center n e a r R i p l e y, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Joyce was born April 11, 1931 in Clermont County, Ohio the daughter of the late Fred and Lida (Henderson) Schadle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Sam Jones in 2015, two brothers – Francis and Jack Schadle and three sisters – Edith Hamilton, Helen Lanham and Marjorie Thompson. Mrs. Jones is survived by two sons – Steve Jones and wife Sue of Bethel, Ohio and Kelly Jones and wife Gerrye of Georgetown, Ohio; one daughter – Barbara Cahall and husband Dale of Georgetown, Ohio; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; one brother – Robert Schadle and wife Dorothy of Higginsport, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Shinkles Ridge Cemetery near Georgetown, Ohio. There will be no visitation. The Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio is serving the family. Dorsey B. Tomlin, 64 Dorsey B Tomlin age 64 of Russellville, Ohio passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at his residence. He was born on December 6, 1951 in Winchester, Ky. the son of Dorothy (Parker) Tomlin and the late Harold Tomlin. He was a mechanic. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Howard and Greg Tomlin and 1 sister; Darlene Adams. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Tomlin of Russellville; 3 sons; Michael Tomlin, Jimmy Tomlin and fiancé Kayla both of Denver, CO, Chris Ames and wife Jessica of Blue Creek; 1 daughter; Sylvia Marie Tomlin of FL; 3 brothers, Tony Tomlin of Russellville, Leon Tomlin of Peebles, Eddie Tomlin of Eubank, Ky.; 3 sisters, Kathy Helbling and husband Danny of Georgetown, Charlotte King and husband Daryl of Georgetown, Frances Rogers and husband Jeff of Apopka, FL; 5 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 23, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Meeker Funeral Home in Russellville with William Patrick officiating. Burial will follow at the Cherry Fork Cemetery. Ohio Valley Manor News for the week The residents of the Ohio Valley Manor enjoyed spending time with family and friends the week of May 30th through June 6th, 2016. We were pleased to see Marion Donley back at the Manor. Please continue to keep her in your prayers! Herb Polley was visited by family and friends including his wife, Jane Polley. Mark and Joy Phelps, Chris and Marilyn Cluxton, Junior and Martha Polley, Mya Spires, Jina Bohl, Jeanett Geary, Parsy and Bill Hall, Dwight and Paulette Carrington and their granddaughter. Ella Wheeler came to see resident Jeanette Carrington. Happy birthday to all of our June birthday residents. Dawn Grippa was happy to see her brother, Paul Grippa. Diana Thompson and Shirley Washington came to see resident Mary Pharris. Alice Himes' company

Kathryn Tong spent time with her brother and sister in law - Frank and Brenda Rowe, her sisters - Roseanna Butt, Evelyn Johnson and Judy Scott and her great niece - Anaya Adoff. Patricia (Carter) Creamer visited residents Nellie Gray and Jessie Sanders. Valerie Shelton's daughter - Vicki Carrington and grandson Brandon Carrington visited with her; she was also visited by Sydney and Vicki last week. In addition to visiting the residents listed above we also stopped in to see: Bonnie Roush, Roy Copple, Helen Henize, Judy Burson, Imela Kimball, Helen Kerr and Ada Daulton. Have a great week!

Jim Pope, 62 Jim Pope, 62, beloved husband of Frances Pope (nee Bickett), loving father of Steven (Aimee) Pope and Katie (Danny) Paulus, cherished grandfather of Payton Pope, Parker Pope and Adrian Paulus, devoted brother of Margie, Mike and Clyde, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Marion E. “Oogie” Wiles Donley, age 69 of Ripley, Ohio, died Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the O h i o Va l l e y Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Donley was born May 12, 1947 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late Carl Andrew and Marcella Louise (Cox) Griffith. She was also preceded in death by two husbands – Donald L. Wiles and Denis P. Donley; one grandson – Craig Weeks; two sisters – Kaye Nichols and Carla Jane Griffith; one brother – Robert Griffith. Mrs. Donley is survived by one daughter – Chrystine Jacobs and husband Lee of Mt. Orab, Ohio; three sisters – Carolyn Breissler of Huntington, West Virginia, Nancy Strickland of Garner North Carolina and Raechel Stauder of Ripley, Ohio; one brother – Jim Griffith of Feesburg, Missouri as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Rev. John Conley will officiate. She was born on December 28, 1944 in Winchester, OH the daughter of the late Arthur D and Pauline (Ross) Brierly. She was a homemaker and attended the Ripley First Presbyterian Church. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Jerry McKenzie, 2 brothers; Ward and Donnie Brierly, and 1 sister; Peggy Leonard. Linda is survived by 1 daughter; Missy McGowan of Peebles, 2 brothers; Eddie Brierly and wife Barb of Maysville, KY, Jimmy Brierly and wife Susie of Hamersville, 2 sisters; Caryhl Swanger of Ripley, Garnet Deanie Wisby and husband Dickie of Hamersville, 2 grandchildren; Lance McGowan and Danielle McGowan, several nieces and nephews and special life time friends Ron and Alice Spires of Ripley. Lloyd E. Tomlin, 94 Lloyd E. Tomlin age 94 of Winchester, Ohio passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro. He was born on January 17, 1922 in Falmouth, Ky., the son of the late James R and Virginia (Fryer) Tomlin. He was a machinist for GE and a member of the Tranquility Community Church. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Anita Tomlin and daughter Theresa Fantroy. He is survived by 3 sons; Rollin D. Tomlin and wife Dianna of Wilmington, Lloyd M. Tomlin and wife Judy of Winchester, Dennis Tomlin of Bethel; 2 sisters, Lucille Kaplen of Independence, Ky. and Noni Wasserboro of Ft. Wright, Ky.; 9 grandchildren; Kes Tomlin, Shawn Tomlin, Blaze Tomlin, Tiffany Walls, Dawn Franz, Christopher Tomlin, Tony Fantroy, Benito Fantroy, Carmella Fantroy; 28 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Pamela Sue Layman, age 63 of Georgetown, Ohio died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at her residence. She retired after 25 years of services from the Brown County Recorders Office, a member andformer preschool director of the Georgetown Church Christ in Georgetown, Ohio, the Brown County Republican Party and the Georgetown Christmas Association. Pam loved the Lord and refused to let life's troubles move her from her faith. She loved her family with all her heart and made sure they knew where she drew her strength from. She touched many lives and was humbled by the love poured out to her by family and friends. She was born May 7, 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio thedaughter of the late George and Dorothy (Hollan) Steele. Besides her parents,she was preceded in death by one sister, Vi Steele McCane, three brothers, Jerry D. Steele, Larry W. Steele and Daniel B. Steele and father-in-law, Earl Layman. She was a nurse aid and a member of the St. George Catholic Church in Georgetown, Ohio. Millie was born May 12, 1924 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Flora (Hicks) Herrmann. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George F. Kimball in 2012, one son Robert A. Schmidt, Jr. in 2010, one daughter-inlaw Sue Schmidt and nine brothers and sisters Emma Germann, Paul, Hattie, Donald and Tommy Herrmann, Martha Hebling, Ruth Dotson, Joann Knapp and Bobby Herrmann. John E. Kirk, 81 John Earl Kirk, 81, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospice. He was born on July 7, 1933 to the late Roland B. and Ethel Watson Kirk. He was a U.S. Army Veteran where he was a tank commander in the Korean War. He was preceded i n death by his wife Erma Dale Hargett Kirk whom he married November 11, 1953. He is survived by his children, David Kirk of Batavia, OH, Vicki Gunderson of Cookville, TN, and Tim Kirk of Lynchburg, OH; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Kirk and John Charles Kirk; and one brother and one sister. Funeral will be 11 am on Saturday at Moore & Parker Funeral Home in Augusta.
