Brodie Tartan - Family And Clan History | Scottish Kilt The Brodie Tartan is a family tartan which has been passed down through the generations. We've carefully recreated the colours and design of this Scottish clan's original tartan, which was first recorded in 1835. Our modern version features a rich red and green plaid with alternating yellow and black stripes.

What Clan Does Brodie Belong To?

Clan Brodie is a Scottish clan with unknown roots. The Thanes of Brodie and Dyke in Morayshire were the earliest known Brodie leaders. The Brodies were involved in various clan battles and were staunch covenanters throughout the civil war.

Colour Pattern of Brodie Tartan Brodie Tartan is appropriate for every occasion. Brodie Tartan Plaid is often made of acrylic wool and is distinguished by black and red hues with yellow lines that bring the tartan to life and offer harmony. Brodies may have pettish ancestors, yet they come from Morayshire in Scotland, where Michael Brother held the barony from Richard I in 1311.
