Overview: Returning starter as a sophomore…tied for second on the team in stroke average as a true freshman in 2012-13 with 73.72 average…led the team in top 25 finishes with six in his 11 events…had a pair of third-place finishes to tie for the best finish in a team event by a Tiger all season…firstteam Academic All-ACC as a freshman…had very strong summer of 2013, he finished second at Carolinas Amateur and third at Cardinal Amateur...in 19 competitive rounds posted in the summer of 2013, shot 72 or better in 17 of them, and had just one rounds over 74…has finished in the top 12 of the North Carolina Amateur each of the last two years…comes to Clemson from Denver, NC, but he was born in nearby Seneca and grew up a Clemson fan…both of his parents went to Clemson…finished second in the state 3A South Carolina Championship in the ninth grade, then moved with his family to North Carolina.

Summer 2013: Had strong summer…finished 12th at North Carolina Amateur in June with a two-under-par 282…very consistent tournament with rounds of 70-70-71-71…followed that with sixth-place finish at Rice Planters the next week…had seven-under 209 thanks to rounds of 71-69-69, and finished sixth…had top finish of the summer at the Carolinas Amateur with a second-place thanks to 289 total, one-over-par…lost by just a stroke after opening round 77…had best performance of anyone over the last three rounds, going 71-70-71…finished third at the Cardinal Amateur in Greensboro with 212 score, two-over-par…again consistent with 70-7270…finished summer with 38th place finish at the Canadian Amateur with a 290 score…had rounds of 72-72-74-72…first active Clemson golfer to play in the Canadian Amateur.
