Experience the Future of Astrotourism

At the First Glass Dome Stargazing Resort in the U.S.

Welcome to Clear Sky Resorts Bryce Canyon

As the sun goes down over southern Utah’s Bryce Canyon Country, it sets the evening sky ablaze with glowing color, backlighting the distant silhouettes of Kodachrome Basin State Park’s sandstone spires. The full volume sunset illuminates a large complex of sparkling glass geodesic domes spilling onto the high desert terrain from a white sandstone canyon. The color and beauty of red rock popping from a neighboring field of deep green match the vibrancy of the evening sky. One can only dream about what it would be like to stay here. On August 9, 2024, Clear Sky Resorts Bryce Canyon made dreams of a vacation at America’s first glass dome stargazing resort a reality.

This second resort property of Clear Sky

Resorts can be found on scenic Highway 12 in Cannonville, Utah, approximately 15 miles southeast of Bryce Canyon National Park and even closer to other jaw-droppingly beautiful scenic attractions.

Centrally located, the resort is the ultimate base camp for exploring the unforgettable scenery of southern Utah’s special places –

Capitol Reef National Park, Grand StaircaseEscalante National Monument, Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, North Lake Powell and even Zion National Park.

Star Light, Star Bright

Inspired by parents who introduced them to travel at a young age, the creators of Clear Sky Resorts developed a deep love of the great outdoors on family trips experiencing the grandeur of America's national and state parks. Fond memories of their fun childhood vacations led to the development of a new brand of resort, committed to creating one-of-a-kind experiences by combining unique accommodations at the country’s most special places. To do that they had to first create spaces that offered all the comforts of a modern hotel room while simultaneously giving the feeling of camping outdoors under a canopy of stars.

Naturally dark starry skies inspire wonder and awe but visualizing the vastness of the universe is becoming rare with the growth of light pollution in urban areas. Dark sky reserves and parks preserve and protect the cultural heritage that stories of shooting stars, comets and constellations illuminate for future generations.

Welcome Dome

At the heart of every Clear Sky Resorts location, everything revolves around the oversized Welcome Dome. Every jaw-dropping Welcome Dome takes the wow factor to a whole new level in its own unique local way. Each is designed to bring the beauty of the outdoors inside, using inspiration from the surrounding wild places. All of our Welcome Domes have a warm and friendly community atmosphere of camaraderie not found at traditional resorts.

Café Bar & Grill

No adventure is complete without great food. Indulge in an out-of-this-world dining experience at the resorts’ celestial-themed futuristic Sky Nova Café Bar & Grill. With a 28 ft. wall of floor-to-ceiling panoramic glass overlooking the resort’s spectacular scenery, Sky Nova is one of the largest glass dome restaurants in the world. For added convenience, all Bryce Canyon Sky Domes are equipped with minifridges and microwaves, ensuring that no delectable leftovers go to waste.

Like their sister resort near the Grand Canyon, Clear Sky Resorts Bryce Canyon features daily yoga and nightly live music. On-resort experiences unique to Bryce Canyon will include the opportunity to explore the resort’s white sandstone cliffs and hoodoos by horseback or by hiking trail. Future plans include a 360-degree Projection Dome, a dome outfitted with a planetarium-like movie screen for a truly immersive film experience that guests can enjoy free of charge.

As the resorts most desirable attraction, the area’s dark night skies are what many come here to see. Nearby Bryce Canyon National Park and Kodachrome Basin State Park are designated as International Dark Sky Parks by the International Dark-Sky Association. Surrounded by lots of dark sky preserves, guests can enjoy captivating stargazing tours and a starry sky guide. Clear Sky Resort’s signature complimentary amenity, nightly smores roasted in the resorts’ firepits, always signal a sweet end to each memorable day.
