While waiting you may prepare a home-made cleaner for soap scum. Put into a jug 2 cups of white vinegar. It needs to be warm so microwave it for 45-50 seconds. Pour the vinegar into an old spray bottle and continue with the cleaning.

Firstly, scrub the soda from the covered areas with a sponge. Then spray them with the cleaner. The mixture of soda and vinegar will start fizzing. Let it like that for a couple of minutes and then scrub again with a sponge. When you are done, swill the bathroom with some water, using you shower head.

Then dry the clean places quickly.

Here is another recipe provided by Cleaners Balham for a home-made cleaner. You can use half a cup dishwasher or softener with one litre and a quarter warm water. Put the combination in a spray bottle.

Shower doors are a cleaning challenge, too. The home-made way is making a paste with a starch of corn. The method is the same as it is with the soda. Put the taste on the spots, then scrub the doors.

Once you are ready, wipe off the mixture. Water the doors to remove the corn and the use the vinegar or the dishwasher cleaner to spray them and wipe.

Another method you can use to clean up the bathroom's dirt is using only vinegar. Pour some vinegar on a paper towel put them on the spots and press strongly. Leave them to soak in vinegar for a couple of hours. Remove the towels and scrub the spots with wet cloth with some baking soda. Then rinse the areas.

The petroleum jelly may be used as well. Rub some of it on the surfaces, wait sixty minutes and remove it with warm water and cloth.

Soap scum can be cleaned up with mayonnaise, too. Put some on the spots, wait for a couple of hour and wipe it off. You can add some baking soda, if the scum is more.

Using lemon oil is another way to wash off the soap scum. Put some of it on a towel, scrub it and leave it for twenty minutes. Then use some water to remove it.

You do not need chemicals to clean soap scum. These methods of dealing with it make the cleaning cheap and effective, and not so difficult. Enjoy your shiny bathroom!
