YEAR-END TAX REMINDER
Compensation provided to members, e.g., hole-in-one winnings greater than $600 per year (including the Credit Book in the Golf Shop and Food & Beverage Credit), qualify for a 1099-MISC at year-end. The Club will provide this to the Member on or before January 31st of the following year. Just as you are responsible for paying taxes if you happen to win the lottery, you also must pay Uncle Sam if you take home a hole-in-one prize. Additionally, Resigned Equity Member Payouts will also be issued a 1099-B for their “sale” of Equity back to the Club, also to be sent to the Member on or before January 31st. Please contact your CPA/tax professional or our Controller, Susan Jones if you have questions regarding these disbursements.
