SERVSAFE FOOD PROTECTION MANAGER CERTIFICATION
This course will prepare you to be certified or re-certified through the National Restaurant Association ServSafe Foundation. You will cover all major sanitation points, including how food becomes unsafe, proper precautions, personal hygiene, food contamination, regulations and inspection standards. The nationally recognized ServSafe Exam is given as part of this
course. Upon successful completion of the ServSafe Exam, you will receive a copy of your ServSafe Food Protection Manager certificate, which is nationally recognized. Note: As of January 1, 2018, the Illinois Department of Public Health will no longer require a state FSSMC certificate. A textbook is required and may be purchased in the CLC Bookstore prior to class. Note: It is highly recommended that students read the
textbook and review chapter quizzes prior to class in order to prepare for the certification test at the end of the course.
