ACADEMICS

Band

This year, our band totally rocked the stage! They practiced super hard, and with the awesome support from our band directors, they gave some unforgettable performances.

A big thanks to the amazing band teachers, Mr. Wantland and Mr. Miller. They helped the bands improve so much, turning practices into sensational music that echoed all over school. Shoutout to everyone who cheered them on. It was a totally Bandtastic year!

Choir

This year, the choir was so incredible! Ms. Slotterback guided them to do their best, creating a choir filled with amazing voices. They worked super hard, practicing for hours to get everything just right. They sang their hearts out and worked together like champs. They are very proud of what they have achieved together!.

Scholastic

We celebrated our top students who had GPAs from 3.7 to 4.0. They were awarded medals and plaques for their achievements. A big shoutout to our hardworking teachers for making this happen. Congratulations to everyone for working hard and doing great!

Science Fair

At this year's Science Fair, 7th and 8th grade students got to display their projects for local judges, parents, teachers, and students to see. It was fascinating to see all the different projects. Winners were celebrated and recognized for their hard work!

Robotics

Under the guidance of Ms. Grooms and Mr. Denning, the CNMS robotics club dedicated themselves to designing, building, and programming functional robots for their team. These students demonstrated exceptional dedication and talent throughout the year. We eagerly anticipate their continued success in the years ahead!

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is an important day when we honor those who have served or are serving in the military. This day has been observed on November 11th every year since 1919. It represents the first anniversary of World War I, which officially ended on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

ATHLETICS

Dance

Mrs. DeBruler and Mrs. Payne proudly led the dance team. The girls practiced until they had the dances memorized. They left the crowds stunned with their moves! The dedication and excitement of the dance team brought energy to every game.

Our CNMS cheer team never fails to impress us. They support our basketball and football players through numerous victories. Mrs. Harmon and Ms. Steenberg, our amazing coaches, led this astonishing group by being positive examples. Each and every one of these individuals worked hard to support our teams during their games and cheered them on to victory.

These girls did an extraordinary job of attending continuous practices and games while serving their way through the season. They showed the effort of true Squires. Congratulations to the girls and their coaches, Mrs. Ballard and Mrs. Dillman, for a fantastic year!

Bump, Set, Spike!

Mrs. Sturgeon and Mr. Seidel led our 7th grade volleyball team through an astounding season of mostly wins, which showcased the team's dedication and hard work. With effort and determination, they improved their skills and worked together as a team to achieve success on the court.

This year's 6th grade volleyball girls did a spectacular job with Mrs. Steele and Ms. Fouts coaching them every step of the way. Despite facing some challenges, they showed tremendous determination and improvement throughout the season.

The 8th grade boys football team put in an incredible amount of effort, and their hard work really paid off. They practiced tirelessly, showing immense dedication and determination. A huge thank you to the coaches, Mr. Lawrence, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Dych, Mr. Nichols, Mr. Pritchard, Mr. Allen, and Mr. Hurt, for always having the boys' backs and pushing them to succeed on the field

The 7th grade football team had a fantastic year. They, along with their coaches, Mr. Lawrence, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Dych, Mr. Nichols, Mr. Pritchard, Mr. Allen, and Mr. Hurt, pushed themselves and worked really hard to win and come out on top. Throughout the season, they showed awesome teamwork and determination, which helped them succeed on the field. With each game, they grew stronger and more confident.

The 8th grade girls basketball team, led by Mr. Woodard and Mr. Althaus, had an outstanding year. These girls worked really hard to defeat other teams. They practiced and played with so much effort during games. They gave it their all on the court. Despite facing tough opponents, they never gave up and always encouraged each other to do their best.

The 7th grade girls basketball team had an amazing year! They worked very hard to win and showed great teamwork on the court. The coaches, Mr. Lockyear and Mr. Woods, and team did so well this year by always supporting each other and giving their best effort in every game. We can't wait to see what the team accomplishes next year! Keep up the amazing work!

The 6th grade girls basketball team did outstanding this year. They worked so hard and put so much effort into this team, practicing and playing with determination. The coaches, Mrs. Steele and Mrs. Martin, trained them and helped them get better by providing guidance and support. With each game, they grew stronger and more confident, showing their skills on the court.

8th Boys Basketball

The 8th grade boys had a sensational season this year! They played hard against many different teams, while showing determination and teamwork on the court. A big shout out to Coach Eaton and Coach Mahooty for their support and encouragement throughout the season. The coaches guided the players to success on the court with practices and warm-up before every game.

The 7th grade boys basketball team fought very hard throughout the entire season to ensure victories!

Coach Negley and Coach Harmon earned a special thanks for their dedication in training and pushing these boys to victory. They worked tirelessly to improve the team's skills and strategies while guiding them through every game with encouragement and support.

The 6th grade boys basketball team had an outstanding season with the help of Coach Young and Coach Beard. They dribbled up and down the court, dodging opponents and making awesome plays. Not only did they show off their skills, but they also showed awe-inspiring sportsmanship. No matter how tough the game got, they cheered each other on and shook hands with the other team afterward. These guys really gave it their all, and it definitely paid off.

This year, the wrestlers put in a lot of effort to slam down their opponents. They showed great sportsmanship by always cheering each other on throughout the season. Coached by Mr. Davis, they improved with each match. His encouragement and support motivated them to give their best on the mat.

This year, the archery team put in a lot of effort, attending competitions with excitement and a strong determination to represent our school well. Their hard work and enthusiasm were clear in every competition.

Finishing strong, the Lady Squires charged through the year with their great athletic ability. The coaches, Mr. Slepsky and Mrs. Sturgeon, helped them train and they did a great job in all of their races and field events.

The boys track team had many talented athletes who put in the work to train hard and run fast to be first to cross the finish line. They supported each other throughout the season. Led by their coaches, Mr. Dobrzynski and Mr. Denning, they worked together to improve their skills and succeed in their races and field events.

STUDENT LIFE

Orientation was a great way for new 6th graders to tour the school. It was an awesome opportunity for them to get to know their new school before the year officially starts. It was also the perfect time to find their classes, see their friends, and practice opening their lockers.

Back To School Bash

A great way to start off the new school year was by having the Back to School Bash. Students had a chance to reconnect, make new friends, have fun with games, and show off their dance moves. They enjoyed pizza, ice cream, and Kona Ice. Students and staff members also participated in a raffle. Everyone had so much fun!

The Monster Mash Bash is our annual Halloween party. Students had a spooktacular time wearing Halloween costumes to school, playing games, hanging out with friends, and enjoying yummy food and candy.

Build-A-Bear Field Trip

This year, the 6th graders continued the tradition of making bears at Build-A-Bear Workshop in Eastland Mall. They wrote friendly letters and decorated shirts to match the character in their letters.  Once the bears were placed in their boxes, they were donated to Warrick DCS, Head Start, Willett Daycare, Ronald McDonald House, Warrick CASA, and a local fire department. The 3K Run is an awesome end-of-year event where all CNMS students and staff run or walk around the school grounds. After finishing the route, everyone cooled off with popsicles and water. It’s a fun way to end the year together!

After the 3K Run, students had a blast! The rock band played music and students played games while hanging out with their friends. Big thanks to the student council and sponsors for setting up this amazing event!

Our drama club wowed everyone with "I Hate Shakespeare." The play was fantastic, blending comedy and classic literature in a way that surprised everyone. A huge thanks to Mr. Payne and Mrs. Chambliss for putting it all together and making it a memorable experience!

Honk Jr.

Our drama club nailed it again with "Honk Jr." The performances were so impressive, leaving the audience in awe of the talent on stage. This fun and lively musical had everyone talking about it for days.

The 8th grade Holiday World field trip was filled with great memories. Everyone, including the kids and staff, had an incredible time! The thrilling rides, delicious snacks, and games made it a day to remember for everyone involved!
