KIMONO

The kimono project was one of the most challenging projects I encountered during my second year studies. It was one of the first projecs in which I was mostly “flying solo”, meaning that I was fully the one that came up with the design, pattern and production of the garment.
Even though I did encounter unforeseen challenges while bringing this project to life, I was able to overcome them by applying skills that I have acquired throughout my studies such as critical thinking and problem solving.
Through the making of this kimono, not only did I gain lots of technical skills, but I also was able to obtain valuable lessons about the importance of adaptability, perseverance, and attention to detail, which are qualities that a fashion designer must possess.
